    In 1995 I was a 19 year old young man visiting a Grand Prix race (in Belgium) for the first time with my father. In that time there was a warm-up, and I'll never forget that the first cars on track that rainy day were the Ferrari 412 T2's of Berger and Alesi. My father and I will never ever forget the snaking Ferrari of Alesi in the wet almost swimming towards Eau Rouge, with Alesi, as ever, not caring about lifting his right foot a bit for safety. The V12 scream was almost emotional for both of us!

    It was a dream come true, that, almost 18 years later, the (exact?) car that Alesi drove was present during the Modena Trackdays on the same track as 18 years ago, Spa Francorchamps. This driver was the only one capable of pushing the car somewhat towards the limit, so, a nice video was the result!

    Yes, terrific sound! Most times these old F1 cars get exercised they are tuned down in the case of turbo's or not driven correctly so the sound does not come close to the old days. Yet here the driver is pushing it and it sounds great. In fact the closest I have heard to the few period testing pieces from Paul Ricard. That car there is probably the 2nd best NA sound, I liked the 3.5l from the year before a bit more.

    You're welcome! I must say that the engine died on the second day after a enginecover plate came loose. The engine probably has to be revised completely. The man who drove it was a man from Japan, who does not want his identity to become public. Well, maybe this is the best proof that tuning down a V12 is the best to keep it longer lasting, but this experience was nevertheless quite priceless.

    Probably the best looking & sounding F-1 Ferrari of the last 20 years. I was at Canada when Alesi won - I remember seeing schumachers drive shaft come flying out of the car ... great day for Ferrari

    Strange, it's on the internet. He's also listed as owning chassis 246, an F2005.

    Mechanics from Modena Motorsport with support from Corse Clienti mechanics. In fact, Modena Motorsport mechanics are Corse Clienti trained and I think they're the only party outside the factory to run these cars.

    The engines are tuned down by 1.000 rpm to make them last longer but they still scream!
