Hi I'm looking to buy another F8, How much should I expect off on a lowmiles used 21 and or 22 model?
I’m wondering as well…I haven’t been in here everyday but did see some of that thread. Help me out here..lol… are normal…for Ferrari…mileage F8 selling for MSRP still…say a 2022 F8 msrp mid 300’s…say $365k…selling for MSRP or around $10k less? It’s hard to judge since all the F8’s on carguru or on Ferrari’s previous owned do not show window sticker. So you can’t really tell where the asking price is vs. msrp.
If you're looking for a car and serious then you need to know more about the options then a salesperson would. Gather the options price list and add it to a spreadsheet. As long as I can see the options placard I can reverse engineer and get with a few hundred dollars of MSRP. It really annoys me when a car for sale doesn't show it. I also usually find the ones that don't is because it's a low spec which is pretty evident on cursory view of the pics. Image Unavailable, Please Login
For the most part coupes are below msrp and spiders are at or just above msrp. As with every Ferrari the specs/mileage make a huge difference and will affect the pricing. A great spec/low mileage/middle of the road msrp coupe may still be at or above msrp. Higher msrp will have a much larger discount as evidenced by the recent BAT auction.
I lobbed that one over the plate for ya. But seriously, there is no way in hell that my car, for example, could sell for under 338– granted, it’s a good color combo with good specs and carbon engine- but still, the only F8’s going under sticker are the most bland optioned, red or white/tan, comfort seat with either higher miles or carfax history…. Now, if we’re talking trade value ACV, that’s a different story. I just took in a clean 2020 with 8,300 miles, reasonably specced but nothing great, with regular seats for 6k over sticker and sold it immediately (2 days) for 14k profit. You guys looking at MMR and other online sources are seeing mostly pricing that dealers paid for resale— you’re not seeing private party sales or true retail numbers… but anyway, who gives a F, enjoy the cars- the values aren’t going anywhere disastrous ever. No one is gonna get hurt badly on an F8– in fact, you’ll see them climb back up some in the next 1-4 years (considerably) Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Don’t look at this one. https://www.dimmitt.com/used-Pinellas+Park-2020-Ferrari-F8+Tributo-+-ZFF92LLA9L0254206
I'm in the market for a blue f8 spider. I'm seeing a lot of cars well over msrp....where are you finding these car prices you speak of? thanks
Not cheap, just normal depreciation pricing. The Covid days are long gone and it appears that the F8 is following the same curve as past models.
Lots of F8 listed online and some have been siting for over a year. One listing has been for sale for 652 days, another for 516 days and plenty that have been sitting for 6 months or more. Lots of good deals if you are open to other colors. If you just want blue it may be hard to find and you may have to pay a premium for a good spec.
You’re always there for me buddy…. As I said, bland red/tan can/will go a bit under sticker. And it doesn’t mean that that is ‘the market’ Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
12-14k miles, low spec, color combo, wrong dealers, etc…. And it’s about 10-15 of the 100 available in the country so, again, NOT the market. A premium color combo, low mileage, GOOD previous owner, good spec car is STILL over sticker, period. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Keep holding on to the dream. Reality will eventually set it. We had a great few year run but these cars are depreciating assets and plenty of cars can be bought below msrp, at retail. Nothing wrong with it and it’s not a knock on any model. it’s normal and been that way forever. I’ve had 6 different Ferrari and other than 1 that I sold during covid, they have all been below msrp. Goes with owning a supercar.
Jeez man…. It’s not a dream or even a care or because I own one… it’s my fricken job for 27 years… of course, there are cars below… and above and at MSRP— d’uh. And of course Covid pricing was ridiculous for all makes and has gone (and still going back down) but the true market is still the true market for any car based on its condition, previous ownership and history and spec…. I’m not gonna keep explaining to people how what they see for sale at some dealer or even privately doesn’t determine a whole market… a ‘market’ and ‘value’ is individual… not just the make and model but within that make and model based on MANY factors. Every used car is a One of One and has its own market. But even with your general statements, the AVERAGE of all of them still lands over MSRP, especially the spiders. You evidently do care as you get very vocal about it every time it comes up. So a single car is not indicative of the market because each car is one of one and it’s own market?!? That’s a new one. I guess we should apply that to the stock market as well and can’t say if the “market” is up or down as we would have to look at each individual stock. I do agree with you 100% on “value” as the definition of a cars “value” is what someone is willing to pay for it and is not always the same as the “market”. Same holds true for watches, artwork, etc.
We are saying the same thing… and I don’t get worked up; I just like correct information to be spread, not poor, incomplete analyses… as I said, in relation to ‘market’, not individual value, the average is still well over MSRP and therefore, the market is not below MSRP. Individual values may be, but not the market. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
