2012 and up, much improved over previous GT.
Having said that, I put 30k miles on my 2009 Speed and had 0 issues.
Likewise, my wife in 25k miles on her 2007 Spur.
    Bulletproof cars, IMO.

Sort out the issues when you first get one. They all have something. Then drive and enjoy-great cars.

I've had mine for nearly 7 years now. Servicing isn't as bad as a lot of people make out. Just make sure you get one that's been well looked after and keep up the servicing.

Mines now done 114,000 and only just this month needing an engine out service. So if its higher mileage just make sure its had proof of the vacuum lines being replaced for the upgraded ones and it should be fine.

I wouldn’t be so concerned about year but rather the service history. I paid $20k more for my 2005 GT because it has a 6” think folder of work done by the Bentley Dealer near Indianapolis. A friend of mine ended up purchasing the lower priced GT and now has $25k worth of work done in the past 2 years since it was so neglected. I have spent less than 2k and can’t believe how reliable and fun to drive these cars are. I will always own a Bentley now! Can not say the same for Ferrari & Lamborghini.

The main upgrade was backup camera, sat radio and ability to stream iPhone. You can add aftermarket to earlier models with a kit and keep ac/heat control with way better navigation and screen than factory.

The rear taillights. Which don’t looks as good as the previous model. Unless you buy the really new 2018 model save your money. Unless you find a steal on a 2012-2017 low mileage model with a awesome service history.

On my third one; 09 coupe, 14 convertible, 13 speed coupe. Zero issues. Slight cosmetic changes in the 12's and electronics were refreshed.

Once you go Bentley you usually repeat! Own 355 Spider, 911 Turbo, Murcielago, and a G55 and GT is what I grab the keys to most often!

I am sure anything is possible to go bad. I haven’t had that experience and haven’t heard any of my friend who own GT’s. Drove me 100+ miles in 30 Degree Indianapolis weather after a slight snow! This thing is a beast!

    they are great cars.
just remember that it was a very expensive car to begin with, and therefore the parts will always be expensive.
luckily there are quite a few parts you can get that are interchangeable with other vw stuff.
but the bentley specific things are always pricey
