USA specific list for the 512M

I just bought a 512M. Car #44. I am trying to compile a list of all 75 cars, by number with VIN, Exterior color, Interior color, and any pertinent notes. As of now I have information on 20 of the 75. Once I have at least 50, I will post a link to the site where it will be hosted and available to all. If any of you have information on these cars, I would appreciate you posting it here so I can start to complete the list.

 

Incorrect, of the 501 produced, only 75 were made for USA market. And they have numbered plaques in them denoting the number.

The link above is my registry file for all the US delivered cars. It's for everyone's use. While the link a few posts prior was somewhat helpful, it was dated and had mistakes. This has all vehicles matched up to their correct VIN's and color schemes and has as up to date mileage data as possible (taken from beenverified and Carfax).

Anyone with important information to add is welcome to comment and ill update the file.

Does anyone know Don, who apparently runs the site from the link to the aforementioned registry? He doesn't reply to his emails.

 

Yes, I was watching that auction, but it went too high for me. That car is currently the third lowest KNOWN mileage car, three have been destroyed, and there are no records whatsoever on 4 more, they are likely stored away in collections with less than 500 miles on them. I have about 40 sale records on these cars now, if anyone has any sales records for one of these vehicles, I would love to have the data for my database. I collect data on all car models I own. I create algorithms to try to predict how the market will act 5 years into the future.

 

We are trying to apply price forecasting methodologies to car sales data. The problem is they are far more accurate as the dataset size increases. The most we have for any car series with low numbers outstanding is about 62-3 for the 2011 Porsche GT3 RS 4.0. (I have 38 for the 512M so far) I am HOPING 100 will be enough to get some reasonable forecasts but I'm guessing it will likely require nearer to 150-75. We will also now have to figure out how to adjust the algorithm for the covid/inflation related spike in prices the past 18 months

 

Beautiful car. I haven't driven mine much yet, At the Ferrari dealer here for a thorough going over, then off to my collector friend's restorer for another opinion.

 

Mike Tyson? The boxer? He owned a 512M?

 

Just did a bunch of research, I don't see him owning an F512M at any point. Koenig made a "Mike Tyson Special" car (Yellow), not sure if it was for him, that looked like it "could've" been built from a 512 but I couldn't find a definitive answer on that.

 

Just confirmed that Koenig special edition was from a Testarossa
