From Rennespeed on ebay with free shipping. Not sure if shipping is free if ordered directly from Rennespeed rather than eBay.

Yes different deal. But pricing will need to be completed comparable or better here I think.

But do they bolt up to the USA mounts? Several companies have been making Euro fiberglass bumpers for years, but they are designed to bolt up to the Euro mounts, not the USA ones...

Agree and don’t know but these discussed in the end of this thread needed special mounts made too. I’m pretty sure none mount right up to US cars.

    wording from the website
"....this bumper have 4 threaded mounting holes at the back of bumper. USA bumper have studs sticking out from the bumper. Will require adapter plates to get the correct spacing of the US and Euro bumper studs spacing. "

Fabrication = more $$ if you can’t do it yourself.

Looking at the brackets Mike provided a picture of, they look extremely simple to make. Alittle steel tubing, alittle flat stock, and a welder and you’re in business.

Ok I just spoke to the fiberglass shop. This does not include the bracket to fit the US model.
    Front is $335.
    Rear is $375
Plus shipping and handling. I don’t know why the rear is more $ than the front but either way it’s still a good price.

Mike, so if we want to proceed what is the next step (payments, transport, etc)? Do we deal with the "supplier directly? Will like to have an idea of cost shipping them to Houston. Thanks in advance for your help

The shop is ready to make the Euro bumpers but he said at the price he quoted me is for a minimum order of five set, it maybe he’ll do it starting with four sets.

Also, I will see if I can make him adjust the bolt holes of the Euro bumpers to match the US bumper shock, in this case we don’t need to make an adapter bracket, it will just bolt right on.

Mike, I’m still in for a set if we need to get that minimum order going. If the bolt holes can be moved, you are onto something.

Does this make 3 or 4 sets?

Ok today I took of my front bumper off and man that sucker is heavy. My plan is to take it the fiberglass shop and see if they can match the location of the mounting holes of the US bumpers, I’m not sure if they can do the adjustment but it’s worth to try. While I have the front bumper off, I decided to weigh it and compare it to the Euro bumper which is only 4.65lbs vs 40lbs of the US bumper.

Hey Mike, How's it going? If you can get the shop to match the euro bumper with the US mounting holes I would be interested. Let me know!!!

Doing great Eric, have not heard from you in a while. Yes I’m working on it Eric, the best we can do so far is to line up the bolt holes on the Euro bumper to the US bumper shock two holes, then I have to figure out how to mount the two together, stay tune.

Ok I start doing the rear, here’s a couple of pics I took with the rear Euro bumper pushed all the way in where the back of the bumper is butted against the bumper shock but I know it doesn’t go that far in. Does anyone know how far or how much of the bumper suppose to sticking out? Thanks.

It’s actually look good the way it is but I know it’s not correct.

My 76 and 77 euros don’t have the rubber nonsense around the sides...and the bumpers are in further than in your pics.

I always suspected the "ridge line" cast into the front bumper was the design intent, to align with the body.

End result with the shocks pushes it further forward.

Note on the rubber end caps, on the early NA cars they are there but much smaller.
They do not go as far across the top of the rear bumper.

This is what a fairly unmolested early carb car rear bumper should look like. It’s adjusted right in the center of the “oval” in the original strut locking hole...i.e. it could go in or out a little but not much either way. Probably the original intent...

I’ll set up my US car the same and remove the rubber flappy vag lip things that the US cars have.
