Well damnit, I still don't have my hands on my new-to-me 10/22 yet. Talked to my FFL and it's actually his state license he's waiting on renewal. Now he says they told him it would be 3-4 weeks at the start of July, "so should be any day now". Not sure how his math adds up but he's gonna hear about it from me when I finally get to pick up the rifle.
My FFL finally got his state license renewed. Will pick up the 10/22 on Saturday. Geez I hate waiting!!!
On My God. I'm ready to die. The second "Winner" of the tii backs out. Expecting #2 car for #3- money, "Winner" and friend were surprised to find AFTER THE AUCTION WAS OVER the car was not a pristine unicorn. The car was available for inspection all week but the "winner" arrives shaking his head (EVEN BEFORE SEEING THE CAR) saying "my wife thinks this was a real mistake". A #2 car is $35,000+. A #1 car is $55-60,000. This car sold for $18,851. There is a lot of elbow room there... So this total piece of **** 2002tii will be RELISTED this Sunday. I've sold a few classic cars on Hemmings and the usual first outreach from he buyer was email. If someone is looking on Hemmings they're probably not going to flake vs an auction site like eBay.
These sell all the time on bring a trailer. Just be ready for them to nitpick the snorkel and want to see pictures of the accident repair in the rear.
Suck ya had another deadbeat on the car. For a bit of good news my FFL guy finally got his license renewed and I picked up the 10/22 today. Man it's going to be fun to shoot. With the bull barrel there shouldn't be hardly any recoil at all. Gonna have to try to get out over the next few days and try it out!! Great lookin little rifle!! Thanks!
Same experience I had listing my 328 on eBay. Seems the word is out that there are ZERO consequences for backing out of a car deal on the site, so folks have a little keyboard fun and waste your time. I'm just now experiencing how Bring-A-Trailer works as a buyer, and I can see how it is beneficial to a seller - buyers must register a credit card with enough available credit, and the moment a bid is placed, a "hold" is placed on the credit card for that amount.
