Now you're just baiting Ron. Don't let anyone rush you, Ron. Recovery is a pain, but best to get it done and over with. Trying to get back too soon can cause the recovery to run longer. A bit off topic, but does anyone know if that beemer driver at least got a ticket for driving in the rain with bald tires? (In Germany, Massa at least proved he could drive better in the rain than the beemer that hit Ron. )
Speaking of similarities: Ron survived just barely a fiery crash in his Boxer, which had in essence the same engine that powered Niki Lauda around the Ring in 1976.

For the 30 years anniversary they walked to the place where Niki had the accident and where half of his ear was burnt off. Bernie bends down and picks up an ear from the bushes and yells to Nikki "Look Nikki, I found your ear!". Bernie had planted a pig's ear at the site. Apparently all had a good laugh.

I saw a book today at Costco and thought of Ron. It's called "...and They Walked Away." The book was enormous. Seriously, like 3 feet by 2 feet. 150+ pages with huge photos of motor racing accidents where the drivers walked away. LeMans, F1, NASCAR, rally, etc. I don't know how shipping for that would be (picture frame box?) or if it would be bad taste to give to Ron after what he's been through...
Ok, so I am going to that specialty chocolate place after work today to pick up some goodies for Ron, and I'm gonna swing by Costco and see if they have that book (unless someone else wants to get it for him - dont wanna horn in on someone else's idea). I have a few guys who are interested in kicking something into the pot - so if anyone else is, please let me know before lets say 3pm tomorrow because I will be going to the USPS at 5pm to ship it and I will get a card and put everyones name and/or screen name on it. I got a few PM's I'll get back to you guys today - just a little nutso at work today and I'll get a chance to catch up on stuff after we close.
