    Pet peeve ... I can't stand that everyone calls it the "Tail of the Dragon" now. It's either Deal's Gap, or the Dragon. That's it.

    Some company started filming people from the end (get it, the tail!) and they called their company and website TailOfTheDragon.com .... the TOTD is a website, the road is just called the Dragon or Deal's Gap.

    I met that guy on the day that was filmed. It was during the Honda Hoot at Knoxville in 2005 and I was riding around the USA on my little Yamaha 650. He is quite a short guy too! I was impressed withy the cameraman following as I believe it was the first time he had ridden a wing and first time on that road. Yellow wolf did an iron butt 100o miles in 24 hours back and forth on that road too!
