I'm wondering what the daily driver of choice is for Exotic Owners. Aside from piling on the miles on the ole Ferrari, does anyone have a suggestion for a daily driver that combines speed, handling, comfort, practicality and aesthetics?

The car would be used to go to and from the office, pick up groceries and perhaps kids, and also be able to keep within shouting distance of an exotic.

From your wants, it sounds like you need an E60 M5.

The M3 would probably do the trick. I tried driving a 993 daily and it was too low, making for a harsh ride.

I second the Mini Cooper S especially if you mod it out. It has the room you need and it handles incredibly well for a car that is under $30,000. Of course we are talking 6 speed.

Pontiac Grand Prix GT or GTP is a perfect daliy driver, its reliable, quick and gets great gas milage. The only problem i see is if your young the insurance is gonna skyrocket.

    Bill,

You would take your TR to the Supermarket and to the mall? Wouldn't you hate to get a door ding on that beautiful car?

After an extensive search for exactly the car you describe I bough a Mercedes E55 two days ago. It is the ultimate daily driver.
