Blimey, £130. I got my 1998 911 exempted after applying for the CoC from Porsche - for free!
Just put your reg in on TFL website and it will tell. I did and said I don't have to pay ULEZ. I drive a 360.
That should work for cars registered in/after 2001 - for earlier cars you’ll need a CoC as the emissions aren’t listed on the V5
Correct. Specifically its post Sep 2001 registered cars that are automatically listed as compliant i.e. ‘Y’ reg onwards.
Not relevant to the 360, but I had a similar issue with an older BMW and I found a section on a BMW website where the CoC was free of charge. Alas after submission i was advised that the car was not compliant, but refreshing to see it was provided at no cost (as it should be).
Does anyone have detailed technical information of the emissions of the 348? In London, UK the new ultra low emissions zone means that we have to pay a daily charge unless our cars can be proved to be the equivalent of euro4 compliant. To pass Euro 4 standards, petrol cars had to produce CO of no more than 1.0g/km, Total Hydro Carbon (THCs) emissions of no more than 0.10g/km and NOx emissions of 0.08g/km, but I can’t find this information anywhere for the 348 (or 355 for that matter) Does anyone have this information for the 348? Thanks!
Just put your registration in the online checker. If it fails that then I assume you are screwed. https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle
Euro 4 only came in from about 2005 - I think 348 is barely Euro 1 era so very unlikely - in fact I've just used the above link with a typical 348 plate and it has to pay the charge
Don't blindly believe the TfL checker. It said my 911 had to pay but, after the back and forth with the evidence on the CoC, I was able to get it registered as exempt (actually it showed as 100% discount or something, but same result). The problem is the data around the time Euro 4 came in is largely missing or inaccurate, because it wasn't always declared to VOSA / the DVLA. Most petrol cars from the late 90s onwards will be OK if you can get the data from the manufacturer. Once you're able to prove it emits less NOx than the Euro 4 standard allows, TfL should exempt you. The messaging around it has been pretty poor IMO. A lot of people probably needlessly sold late 90s - early 00s petrol cars because they were told they had to pay, when really they didn't. edit: that said I'd be amazed if a 348 is at a level of NOx emissions that meets Euro 4
