    Hello,

I am new to this forum, and am considering buying a 365 GT4 2+2 in the not too distant future. I have done a fair bit of online research, but could I ask if there are any UK based owners (I am in South West London), who might be prepared to talk to me about their ownership experience, which of the specialists in the UK have the best knowledge of the model etc, etc?

    Thank you in advance.

    Adam

You are looking for the few remaining specialists with good carb experience in effect which will also include Daytona knowledge so someone like Rardley do and possibly Autoficcina - Kent High Performance & Barkaway too

Thank you both very much for replying.

Greyboxer, thanks for your suggestions. Those specialists are certainly on my list. Although not close to London, I've also spoken to John Pogson at Italia Autosport. John told me he got married in a 365gt4 2+2, so has quite a sweet spot for them.

TomTom74, I will be in touch.

    All the best,

    Adam

I don't know what is your milleage on such complex car, but bear in mind that carb cars are much more sought after (read: more expensive), not significantly more powerful, ferocious polluters (even in the cabin, which does matter), have a tendency to overheat when stuck in a traffic light, will deplete the battery in no time when left at idle, do have "scary" skinny tires, even more scary seatbelts, and last but not least tuning the 6 carbs and complex ignition timing is an abstract art were 6 times more parts does not translate into 6 times more work (rather 12 times more actually).

All the above are the reason why a well sorted carb car does command a significantly higher market value (I must admit these engine are unparalleled beasts which also contributes to the value :) ).

Maybe an injected car would be an easier entry?
