    Hi gents,

I screwed up a bit this evening! While installing the Carbonio extended paddle shifters (lovely product), Mr Jackass over here seems to have stripped the head of one of the screws holding the original paddle in place.

This, of course, would have been less of a problem POST-install. Unfortunately now I am stuck with one long RH paddle and one short OEM left paddle!

Any suggestions as to how the hell to correct this? I am probably going to end up heading to the dealership with my tail between my legs...

You might need a "screw extractor" (just a bit head that is extra ruff to grip the stripped screw). I'd post something, but there is a lot of info online, just search "removing stripped screw." You'll see a lot of options.

Use an easy out screw extractor. Really easy to do. Just get one the correct size.

these reverse spiral fluted extractors work well in many cases, I use them often on small size stainless screws that strip easy. Amazon or a parts store has them.

It's super tight to get the Carbonio tool in there. I'm afraid you might be stuck unless you remove the entire wheel and then use an easy out.

Remove the steering wheel. But first disconnect the battery as you don't want that airbag going off!
Once you have it off, removal will be easy as pie.

Hahaha! Setting off the airbag would be the cherry on top!! I've enlisted the help of a knowledgeable friend to remove the steering wheel. Will let you guys know how it goes for future reference.

    Thanks all for the suggestions!
