I just received my ugly blue Texas Registration sticker in the mail. I tried placing it in a few spots on the windshield of my 458, but's it's a total eye sore no matter where I put it.

I just looked at some photos from a local Dallas meet-up and noticed that a few of the Ferraris and Lambos did not have their sticker on the windshield. Do I legally have to put it on the car, or can I just keep it in the glove box?

Yes, you have to place it on the windshield.

Thank you! I figured that was probably the answer. I just got my hopes up when I saw some owners decided not to put them on.

A buddy of mine used to put his stickers on a piece of acrylic about the same size as the sticker, and attach the acrylic to the windshield with some kind of putty or rubber glue. That way, he could remove it whenever he wanted but it looked legit.

There is also a vinyl sheet product you can buy that you can apply your sticker to and make it removable.

Just get a clear piece of plastic....

Hell, you can even punch a hole and use a suction cup, to hang it!

No one cares, but to cruise with it in the glove box is a hugely bad idea, they will be looking for it, to match your normal plates.

Boy, talk about first world problems. :D

Get a hunk of mylar, attach it to the mylar, static will take care of the rest, rub the mylar, stick to the windshield and away you go.

I actually love Texas registration stickers, because they include the car's serial number.

This is the stuff I was talking about. You apply the sticker to this stuff and you will be able to move the sticker from car to car. Over and over again. I've been using the product for years in order to move parking/ID stickers from car to car, and to make city stickers easy to remove from the corners of difficult, steeply raked windshields.
