Euro's start next month! It's being hosted in Poland and Ukraine. 1st game is on the 8th of June but we will have a clash of the titans on the 10th with Span vs Italy.

Who do we think will win it this year?

Spain seems like the favourites to retain their title? I'm hoping Italy wins

    Poll is in alphabetical order.

It's almost like a "home" tourney for Germany. So, that'll be a big advantage to an otherwise solid & fit squad. And it'll be an important advantage considering their fierce grouping!

Spain has been the elite for awhile & still are in form, but not sure if they've max'd out. Lotsa mileage on many of Espania's key cogs to their fluid game.

It'll be interesting to see how much gusto England plays w/ as it'll be likely the last of the hurrah's together for their "golden" generation of footballers (Beck's [?], Ferdinand, Terry, Cole, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney).

The Dutch got a roster that's star-laden, so if all clicks- they can/will beat anyone any given day!

    No San Marino? Wtf? Lol.

I'm hoping Italy would pull it off but no Rossi dims their chances.....after watching the epic man city comeback and Chelsea uefa win anything is possible. Portugal and England have always underachieved but now may be their time.

    England of course!...... ;)

They're getting a little old, but the new manager & their experience should carry them.... Assuming of course they escape this years "group of death" in the first place.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Toss up between Italy and Germany.

Portugal will choke if they make it to the final....which is sad, as they have a very talented team.

I don't think they're in the group of death, look at Group B. Even Group C is difficult to predict and I can definitely see Croatia going through at the expense of Italy.

To answer the original question; I think Germany.

There is only 1 group of death. The one we (DK) are in.

Today we will get hammered by Holland :(

I think the game so far is rather boring.

Will be difficult to top the game last night between the Czech Rep and Russia.

I am hoping DK win though, but fear we won't The Dutch look like a sleeping giant that could awaken soon :-/

Good result for Denmark. People forget they are ranked top-10 globally, ahead of Portugal. (which begs the question, how did four top-10 teams end up in the same group, when other groups have none)

That said, I think things may have ended differently had they played Holland last instead of first - it frequently seems to take star-studded teams like the Dutch side a few games to warm up and play near their potential.

Still everything to play for. No one gets eliminated the first day.

Fantastic game between Italy and Spain!!!

Some amazing saves by both keepers but Buffon was on fire!

Italy scored 1st with Di Natale :D but Spain equalised 3mins later :(

Lots of yellow cards near the end but it was fast paced attacking by both teams. A draw for Italy is usually a great start for them

I was at the opening match and have to say the atmosphere was fantastic. Yesterday some small riots between Polish and Russian fans but in general everyone is having a great time. Some Poland fans at the National Stadium in Warsaw below :)
