Tyson is a savage. I don't care that he's old. Paul is soft.

I just keep thinking of the last Rocky movie where he’s in his 60s but goes 10 rounds with the champ. I’m hoping Tyson destroys Paul, but I have doubts.

Have you guys watched Tyson training? The only way he doesn't absolutely destroy Paul is if its faked for views.

The videos looked great but I couldn't tell if they were sped up. Also, I wonder if Tyson has much more than an initial flare and then tires? Are there anything on these punches anymore? Do the 14oz gloves help Paul? Tyson got knocked out by a journeyman over 20 years ago. Paul went the distance with journeymen Tommy Fury.

Also, anyone else having ethical issues watching this fight? I usually don't watch gimmick fights because they take away from real fighters who have earned their shot but I'm having trouble seeing how its ok to license this fight with Tyson being so old. I don't think I can ethically watch this fight (even if its free).

I read Paul gets to wear head gear and Tyson doesn’t ?

I don't think any sanctioning body would allow that.

And if it did, ALL credibility would be toast.

After about the 5th time in a row I saw a boxing match and the declared winner seemed to be the obvious loser, I stopped watching. MMA doesn't seem to have that problem. I am interested in watching this fight and even if it is 25% gimmick, that's no different than the old "professional" fights I use to see. Paul is a really good boxer, but he's not Tyson 35 years old (yes 23 years ago since Tyson was great). The question is if he can beat Tyson at 58, I think so and all the betting thinks so.

What’s the point of that ? Safer for both fighters w / slower punches and more padding ?

I agree. I think he wins this fight. Hopefully he pulls back and doesn't go for the finish. No one wants to see that.

So, it its a legitimate fight and not just an exhibition, Jake should win. But I would be Mike will. They've already set up this thing with bigger gloves and shorter rounds. That favors Mike.

The longer the match goes the more it favors Jake.

If it lasts less than 3 rounds -- Mike

If it lasts more than 5 rounds -- Jake

    14 oz gloves favor Paul

    2 minute rounds favor Tyson

Whoever leaves an opening first loses.

I have no idea, I've never seen Paul box.

The last time Tyson was great was when Paul's parents were in Elementary School....

Neither of these guys will get hurt, BOTH are going to make a LOT of money - especially in the rematch.

I would not pay-per-view it, but since we already have Netflix, seems impossible not to watch it.

I'm hoping Tyson destroys him, but I'm not assuming it.

People are betting on this?? I guess it’s just as much fun to bet on a sports contest as it is to bet on the outcome of a script.
