Well it's not suited to the 2nd grade Qld roads,I'd have to see how the 'normal' GG one's compare. I think it'd be a barrel of fun on the GAD though...pretty much great road surfaces. ........Oh ..and a BIIIIIIIIG whoopsy..came home and opened my emails and here's my license renewal....due 3 days ago!! I'd had an email a couple of month's ago and told meself to remember.......
Reads like you picked an ideal car for GAD style roads . So many of the English cars of that period enjoy smooth surfaces . The E-type is the same with fresh rubber , smooth flowing surfaces . I've planned my drive back from GG, many of the roads you suggested plus the Monaro and plan to stay overnight in the ACT.
....and she's correct re the attention,ask the other G blokes,they were fed up waiting for me to stop yapping to all and sundry about it!.....I secretly reckon that's why Moretti,Gizz,Wes and Charles left as early as they did.!!
Have you checked the ignition switch? I had similar issues in my old V8 Rangie - run beautifully then not at all. Turned out the replacement ignition switch had gone bad. A nightmare till we tracked that down. Wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't the same type of switch. John
