Fair enough. Your last paragraph actually supports my assertion that making you wear a different numberplate to the norm is actually counter-productive. If you had normal number plates they would appear in the database and the vehicle’s historic rego would be apparent. It seems every state has good or bad in their schemes. Here, historic cars (more than 30 yo) wear normal plates, can be driven for 90 days per year, and pay less rego every year but attract normal rates of stamp duty upon sale.

I've cleaned all the lenses. Took the opportunity to get into all the tight places around the lenses and clean thoroughly. The reflective surface in the indicator and brake lights has dulled and broken down to the point that it easily rubs off. I'm not willing to do what it seems to take to fix that, so I'm stuck with less than optimal rear lights. OTOH they're probably still brighter then stock due to the LED globes.

Well it'll be about 150 more than planned due to a tactical cluster foik!! I thought I had to go through Nyngan to L/Ridge...nup Walgett so to get back on track cost me the 150 including Horses speciality of 25klms of dirt. Shagger looks like a shi**et! Pics eventuaiiy. 1100klm in 12 hours....the Balters are going down a treat!
