Post some of your favorites. I'll start out with a few of mine:

Q: A clerk in a butcher shop is 46 years old and is 5'10" tall. What does he weigh?

A: Meat. He's a butcher. Butchers weight meat.

    ----------

Q: A doctor gives you 3 pills. He tells you to take one every half hour. How long would it take before all the pills have been taken?

A: 1 hour. You take the 1st pill right away, half an hour later take the 2nd and half an hour after that the 3rd. Total time spent is 1 hour.

    ----------

    Q:What was our president's name in 1980?

A: Barack Obama. In 1980, his name was still Barack Obama. :D

Imagine you are driving a bus. When you start your trip there are an old lady named Johnson and a long-haired kid on the bus. At the first stop the lady leaves and a businessman enters. At the next stop Frankie, a young boy, enters with his little sister. Then three old ladies who have been shopping in the mall get on. After a short trip the long-haired kid leaves the bus and a man and lady enter. Paul with his dog Blue gets on, while Frankie and his sister get off, and, finally, the bus arrives at the bus station. What is the name of the bus driver?

    Highlight to reveal answer:
Your name, you are driving the bus

how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

None. Even if a woodchuck could chuck wood it would choose not to chuck wood as the beaver wood do all the chucking and the otter would spread the chucked wood around. So the woodchuck has the ability to chuck wood but chooses not to as any chucked wood the woodchuck needs to have chucked is supplied free through Section 8 sub section L.A.W.C. paragraph S.T.C.W.A.

It is more logic than math.

Because the number of cats and rats are equal in both examples, the time will not vary. The "and a half" is only there to throw you off. If you change the initial values to one cat and one rat, or two cats and two rats, etc., the answer is always a day and a half, or whatever amount of time is specified for equal numbers of cats to consume equal numbers of rats. The time will only vary if the ratio of cats to rats is changed.

This one confounded the hell out of me when my Dad first explained it to me when I was about six years old.

    Awesome contributions guys! Here's another:

Q: A perfectly square house has one window on each of the four walls. Each window faces south. A bear walks by, what color is the bear and why?

A: White. The only possible location of the house is the North Pole. Polar bears inhabit the North Pole.
