Hi Guys, Does anyone know a good transport company that will deliver from Syndey to Perth a motor vehicle? I have been given a quote from importer they use www.cevacarcarrying.com.au. Normal process is enclosed truck to melbourne then rail to Perth. Has anyone had issues with a car thats been transported by train i.e does it affect brake rotors or suspension? Does anyone know if theres an enclosed truck that will transport from Sydney to Perth or Melbourne/Adelaide to Perth Etc?? Any help much appreciated, i want to get my CS to me without any damage.
I havent spoken to them directly the importer did and ceva told them that they dont do it? The question is there anything wrong with transporting the car by rail? I know nearly everyone does it..
I recently used CEVA from Brisbane to Perth, I think they transferred to rail in Adelaide, car arrived safe and sound and on time.
I know a couple of people who've done that trip with ceva. One had some damage, the other has had none after numerous times. ☞
If there is a significant motor race in Sydney which one of the WA teams maybe participating, might have a spot in their transporter
These guys are Sydney based, enclosed truck, very careful with classic/exotic cars. Don't know if they go to Perth. Worth an email to ask. Alan's is good and you could also try another guy in Sydney that has delivered & Picked up a few racecars for me, Mark 2 Transport. Could be worthwhile a phone call or email if you dont want the car on the train. [email protected], Office telephone number is : 02 9591-6721 or Mark's Mobile number is : 0416 07 07 94 Cheers Sean
I've heard that story too - when they used to transport cars uncovered. If you use CEVA go the prestige/race car option (and make sure you have insurance just in case )
Thanks guys for the options i will have a look into it further. I didnt want to use the rail option only that i heard it may affects the brake rotors and suspension by the constant bumping from going over the tracks. Ceva has the car insured and its the race car/prestige option asfaik. they use a complete car lift to load the car onto the truck rather than ramp. But yeh i want the safest option i can find.
Yeh had a look at the website no service to Perth. But can negoatiate but i think it might be very expensive to tranpsort one car all the way from sydney to perth. I might have to look at companies from adelaide also i think... but might take the routine option that most people use to get cars from the east to the west..
Not sure how far you want to go with this but another option would be to load it into a container and have it trucked over.
PP and ian are doing Jack, perhaps they can tow it over on Ians race trailer and tow it behind the Pirus
I think im fine with the train now as it is in a sealed container. So will go down that route. The car is insured so if any damage i suppose it can always be fixed.
