Good evening all, I am a new member here and am looking for advice on a local car hauler to pick up my car at the Port of Houston and take it Austin. The large national transporters are not really interested in such a short trip, and I was hoping there might be a trusted local company that specializes in shorter trips like this one. Please let me know your thoughts, and thanks.
You might try calling Rocky or Chris at Ferrari of Austin and see who they use. Or try Ferrari of Houston. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/shipping-car-during-cv19.625182/ Ken's recommendation is: Hey, call my broker Bob in Texas. I only work with him, open or enclosed quotes, and he's superb. Bob- 817-557-4130 I guess you know it is a short drive... If he can't help, I have a private 1 or 2 car enclosed guy I use who's in NY/CT and will go anywhere in the country.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Not sure it this will help anyone but I decided to go with Montway.
Thomas Edge at Finger Towing (www.fingertowing.com). He's picked-up/delivered for me several times (between Austin and Bryan). Great guy.
Thanks for everyone's feedback! Here are a few pics of my car from when it arrived at the warehouse in Houston last week. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You might think about joining the Ferrari club if not already a member. Active group of local members. August 28-30 is Ferrari Challenge weekend at Circuit of the Americas. Activities planned around that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Thanks. I had checked into FCA membership but have not yet signed up. I’ll do it soon, now that the car has arrived.
