What is the minimum width for a trailer between the wheel wells on a trailer?

I think 84" will be sufficient- that's 4" on either side of the rear wheels, which is the widest part of the car as best I can tell? Anybody regularly trailer their 360?

There seems to be a lot of 6' wide trailers but not too many 7' wide trailers.

I've had several trailers and made a lot of trips to the track. A 360 fits a 7 foot trailer but there is not a lot of room on either side.I put a winch with a wireless remote in my second trailer and it saves a lot of clutch wear. Rather than drive it in and slide the clutch and then have to crawl out through the window, with a winch I just stand next to the car and winch it in while making adjustments with the steering wheel. A trailer legally cannot be wider than the 7 ft ones. You can get more inside room with a rampover system but it makes the entrance angle steeper. I also would recommend a v-nose trailer as they pull much better and give better mileage as well.

The maximum width for vehicles / trailers is 8'-6", so the max you will normally get is about 7 feet inside the wheel guards on enclosed or open car trailers. If you are going enclosed, I would definitely recommend getting a 8 foot box so there is a little more room around the car. I trailer a car that is 60 inches wide on an open trailer that has 72" clear inside the wheel guards, so there is about 6 inches on each side, and I find that plenty roomy for me. The winch is also a great idea, it will pay for itself in just a few uses compared to replacing your clutch.

7.5 Feet! And ontop of that your going to need fold down wheel covers on the trailer to be able to get out. (Kinda ghetto but on mine I use a 2x4 on one side of the trailer to tilt the car so that I can open the door without having to fold down the wheel covers on the trailer). Your also going to need a low trailer with some really long ramps so it doesn't bottom out.

What tie downs should I buy and what is the best way of securing the car?...anybody has a diagram? I am in the process of picking up my enclosed 8.5 x 24 Pace trailer and I do have a winch installed so my last question: should I use special straps or the front toe hook is sufficient? I appreciate all responses.
    Thank you.
