In my rally car there were no sun visors, and you would end up with bugs in the screen. So driving into the sun was a bit tricky sometimes. Once I put my hand up in front of me like in the video. My navigator said “you are doing a vatanen” I felt quite chuffed. A couple of minutes later he said “pity you can’t drive like him”

 

It's not the same now that it's all tarmac, but I wouldn't mind a drive on it - maybe I'll become an "influencer" and they'll send me a ticket...

I know, what a bizarre thing to do, pull over just past an oil patch on the exit of the previous corner, like he was on a country drive. He then undid his belts several seconds before he got out - if he'd been rear ended at the moment he'd have been toast.

Not sure what Roman meant by "going digital" but I'm amazed they're still operating without cameras and green/yellow/red flag lights.
