Cool, thanks man. The engine oil filter looks like the oil filters used in the Allotec V6 engines they put in the VZ Holden Commodores. Can you buy an actual kit to overhaul the water pump on this engine? Or do you have to take the seals and orings down to SKF and match them up?
Commodore filters are probably better Would you believe that STP (as in the oil additive) make oil and fuel filters for Indy cars, probably in a factory in Mexico. Unfortunately no SKF shortcuts, only the oil pump seal is a generic type, the 2 water pump seals (different sizes for each end of the impeller shaft) are custom Cosworth parts, now only available as reproductions. Chuck at VDS kindly sent me his last 2 Cosworth NOS seals, which are a headfuch to install. So far I've made up 3 press tools on the lathe and I'm still not done!
Cheers mate. Yeah, never knew that about STP. And that is good to hear you got that seals, but even better to hear that Cosworth still make them. And yeah mate, you better be careful pressing those seals in. Don't want to **** them lol.
Terrible colour scheme, has Rossi paid back all of his taxes yet ? He's my hero for tax evasion, ..... other than Capone of course
Just checked out some pics on Google. Reckon they should have just adopted a Halo like in F1? Or has F1 patented the Halo?
Yay - I've been held up for weeks waiting for valve stem seals (manufacturer closed for WuFlu) but finally found someone with them in stock in the UK https://modatek.co.uk/product/yb0242-inlet-valve-stem-seals-set-of-8/?v=f6169c3977a8
And it's a win for QLD'r Scott Dixon. Indy racing at its best, lots of leader changes, lots of overtakes - without the silly f1 DRS.
