    Hi everyone

My 488 keeps giving TPMS temp. inactive, I switch the activation to on and still I keep getting the same message ... I inflated all 4 tires and still the car keeps giving me TPMS inactive temp.

    Any suggestion please ?

    Thanks

Did you try to recalibrate the TPMS via the menu in the left TFT display?

Try this - set the cold tire pressure using a reliable gauge, start the car, initiate recalibration of the TPMS and immediately drive the car for a few miles.

It will only set when you are moving and not in a stationary position. Best , Kirk.

The TPMS is wonky- you have to first turn off your proximity sensors then set the calibration.

Stupid- I know. No where in the manual does it say that. I had to find out via taking it in for service.

The other unbelievable thing is that if the tires are under inflated, TPMS won't calibrate either. I ran into that on the Cali T. Turns out my pressure gauge was 5lbs low and so while the pressure read correctly on all the tires it was actually five pounds low with a proper gauge. However, the stupid TPMS system wouldn't tell me what it thought the pressure was, just complained about needing recalibrating and then wouldn't recalibrate.

Hello, how are you? Have you solved this problem? I have been suffering from it for nearly two years and every time the dealer tells me that it needs air pressure, and when I bring it in for maintenance, they clear the alert and then come back with the driving

Hello....all is well thanks... Yes it was solved... I put pressure higher thane what is specified and I drive the car and do the calibration while driving... This should solve it...justvtry to put more air than specified.... Good luck

That’s not a solution; it’s a work-around and an unacceptable one at that. Set the cold tire pressure according to what’s specified on the door jam label. Confirm the pressure with two gauges. If the gauges disagree with one another, use a third. You must have confidence that the COLD TIRE PRESSURE is accurate. Follow the procedure in the owner’s manual to sync the pressure transducers with monitoring system. If that doesn’t work, one of more of the components in the TP monitoring system is/are malfunctioning.

Thank you for this information.. I will try the solutions and I hope to be able to control this process.. because when I fill the air in the tire and drive the car, the mark goes out, but after a while it comes back.. It is possible that there is some light leakage or that there is a malfunction in the sensor. I will check it out. Thank you

Does the pressure in tire stay the sane ..do you have a slow leak in one tire

Are you filling them cold to what is specified .. if you have to drive 5 miles to gas station to fill tires .. add 6 pounds to each tire and check cold in garage next morning (cold)

The pressure remains the same and I use it for two years and the matter has not changed.. only the mark appears and the tire pressure remains the same.. but when I go again to fill it, I see that there is a slight change in pressure, but I think it is related to the cold.. Thank you very much

    I am grateful to you
