Calling all Ferrari Owners, FCA Members, and Upstate Chapter Members: On Saturday, May 22 the Upstate Chapter of Empire State FCA is hosting a Tour of Buffalo, culminating in dinner downtown. The original tour of the Pierce Arrow Museum in Downtown Buffalo needed to be cancelled due to covid related closures, thus the formatting has been pivoted. Details include: 153 mile round trip starting at noon from Beaver Island State Park in Grand Island, NY, with a light lunch (we will be there starting at 11:15am). Quick stop at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, NY for pictures (and restroom if needed). Continued back road drive to Ellicottville Brewing Company in Ellicottville, NY for a patio libation (cash bar) / snack (and restroom if needed). Onward via more / different backroads through Franklinville, Holland, and Elma back to a scenic view at Buffalo’s Small Boat Harbor, and a scenic, picture-friendly backdrop against Lake Erie and Downtown Buffalo. The final short leg of the tour will end at 6pm at Vice, a newly opened restaurant in downtown Buffalo; we will have reserved parking right out front, a spread of delicious appetizers, wood fired pizzas, and sandwiches in stations, and beverages. Here’s a link to the complete route. The route should take about 6 hours including stops and pictures. We will have approximately 2 hours at Vice to relax after the ride in a private setting, and of course can stick around after that as long as everyone wants. If anyone wants to stay overnight, here is a link to the Aloft hotel, which is in the same building downtown as Vice. As per FCA requirements, signed waivers will be required for all event participants. The cost will be $60 per attendee, all inclusive. This includes lunch, dinner, and beverages. We are asking for people to confirm and pay no later than April 30, 2021 so we can provide an accurate headcount to the restaurant and arrange appropriate spots for parking.
