A reminder to never bring your Ferrari to non-Ferrari people.

Who would have thought, a joyride in a 355 by a guy who's never been in one before turns into a total loss.

Sorry for your luck man, but really you should have known better.

I'd carry my wallet in my front pocket near that place, not bring my Ferrari there. Good lord that's bad. The "boss bro" makes sense now.

I know that most people (including myself) would be very cautious before bringing their Ferrari to any shop without first getting referrals or doing some type of homework to build some sort of trust. However, sometimes accidents happen. Many years ago I witnessed a very seasoned and careful technician crash a car inside the shop. He had just completed a 4 wheel brake job and afterward got distracted by another tech doing another job. He later went back to the car (in a rush) and forgot to pump the brakes, and back in those days when you started a car with a carburetor it went to high idle and he crashed the car into a work bench. It was his fault and the dealer made the customer whole, but that's how it can go sometimes.

Very true accidents can and do happen.

In this case it was an idiot on a joyride who should have never had an opportunity in the first place. Very different.

There was a thread, a while back, from an owner whose car had been badly damaged by a main dealer driver

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/beware-of-ferrari-maserati-of-vancouver.432553/

Getting lawyered up sounds stressful and expensive, but in particular, stressful. For a while this thread popped up on all Google searches of that dealership and probably cost them far more business than if they had just compensated him properly, although business that didn't happen is impossible to measure.

it's pretty easy to populate online review sites with bad reviews, and you have evidence and a real story to tell. Unlike the Vancouver dealership, which someone pointed out was selling more new cars than it could get hold of to new arrivals from China, these guys might get hit quite hard by reviews. May help them change their minds, or just provoke them but at least some satisfaction for you to see them deservedly suffer.

I don't think I would have left my Ferrari with them in the first place, however.
