The humidity is such that I hang a DampRid from the rear view mirror and a week later draw 12 ounces of moisture out of the interior.
Top 10 (IMO): 1) Paint protection film (entire car) 2) Windshield protection film (peace of mind) 3) Unplug exhaust diverter valves (sounds great) 4) Italian flag badges (rear and sides) 5) Aluminum dead pedal (match brake and accelerator pedals) 6) Passenger foot rest (match driver pedals) 7) Titanium lug bolts (especially with dark painted wheels) 8) Upgrade floor mats (if applicable) 9) Tint windows (not too dark though) 10) Soak up the eye candy (and enjoy this magnificent machine)
Is that in your Enclave? I did the full PPF nothing else. I am not sure a Ferrari is a car I want to mod because it's so well engineered and constructed. The Porsche was too but because it was fun to run the 1/4 mile with it I did a lot to it. Not sure I would do that again with a car of this caliber. Maybe an exhaust mod is in store for the future, get rid of the high flow cats first and see how that sounds and performs.
I've done 1) Paint protection film all over ( well worth it !) 2) UVprotection film on the front and 30% tints on the sides I am in the process of adding more carbon fiber pieces to accentuate. I intend to leave the car alone apart from this and enjoy the masterpiece as is..
Liquidated the Enclave to pursue additional Bitcoin at 2k. My interest in 488 began when BTC hit 21k. Due to time constraints, I've pushed initiating verified owner proceedings out to a later date. From prior experience I'm skeptical there's tangible upside to anything besides stock exhaust systems. If it's all about sound, soon I'm publishing a CD entitled "An Hour of Aftermarket". You can listen to that in the car.
I plan to do the following: 1) Novitec Lowering Springs 2) Novitec Spacers 15/20 3) Novitec tune ( though I heard from a trusted source that the tune does not work well, and in some cases reduces power) I had the novitec tune on my mas gts twinturbo, and it worked most of the time. I hope to hear more from customers and not dealers. 4) Exhaust mod - again i'm hearing different things. On my 650s after market muffler does very little, it is all about the downpipe. Im hearing the opposite about this car even though they are both turbo charged?
I have put the extended carbon paddles from carbonio (a really useful mod) and the dead pedal from Hill Engineering; and I installed a fire extinguisher. I should have put a film on the front because I now plan a front respray and a film (bumper and front hood).
For the cupholder you needed to buy the Cali T or Portofino. The little spot in front of the console is perfect for my phone. The cupholder in the TTS was a joke, they might as well not have put that thing in the car at all, glad they saved me the disappointment here.
Speaking of cup holders my new 488 will not hold a Starbucks Venti whereas my 458 did. The cup holder will only accommodate a Grande. WTF.

What spot in front did you select for the license plate bracket? As far as essential modifications go, first item of business. The 19 states requiring only the rear license plate are: Alabama Arkansas Arizona Delaware Florida Georgia Indiana Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Michigan Mississippi New Mexico North Carolina Oklahoma Pennsylvania South Carolina Tennessee West Virginia
I am in Texas and don't install them. Never gotten a ticket although I know sometimes people do get cited. Just putting the plate in the glovebox or frunk is the thing to do but in the last 7 years of not installing them I have never been stopped.
Used to live in california and a few years ago I didnt have a front license plate on my car. Got pulled over and got a ticket. Cop left, I pulled out a few minutes later after gathering my license and registration and started driving again. Literally 2 minutes later a cop was driving the other way, saw my car and did a u turn and pulled me over again. I literally laughed at him as I showed him the ticket I received not less than 5 minutes previously. He smiled and let me go. It was as if they just got out of a meeting being berated by their chief for not getting enough cars for front license plates.
Been licensed and driving in California since 1980s. Never installed a front license plate. Never received a ticket . . . well, for front plate anyway.
I am worried about cup holders as I put 10k+miles / year on my exotics going to the grocery stores. It would be nice to have a place to hold my coffee. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've never used the cupholders in any my exotics as there would be drink everywhere after a few seconds. Is there cupholders in a 488?....not that it matters..
