A Barabus hasn't left the factory (so-called) driveway, let alone done 60 miles per hour.

 

Absolutely no way any street car on street tires is doing a dash to 60mph in 1.6 sec, thats BS. Also 0 to 60 is the most overrated peformance statistic. Whenever im talking to someone and they mention 0 to 60 I automatically assume they are clueless noobs.

 

Idiotic thread.

0-60 is a near worthless performance metric. Not to mention this list has gaping omissions.

 

Barabus... heh. I remember when this car came out last year and appeared on the London car show. I couldn't wait to get an occasion to talk with someone from there about HOW they managed to put down those figures. Well, come car show day, I find the Barabus stall and that abominable Saleen/Zonda design ripoff. So I walk up and ask exactly that - how did they do it. "It has 1000hp" is the answer I got :| Ooookkkk... so I responded with smth the likes of that there are a few other manufacturers, which can specify more or less same power and torque or power to weight ratio, so how come they managed to shave practically a whole second (or circa 20-25%!!) off of some of the fastest cars on Earth. "Well, it's got traction control.".. that left me speechless for a second! When informed that so do many of the other cars, he started getting irritated. So an onslaught of other questions commenced - on street tyres, where (as in surface), gear ratios? etc - I was assured everything was street legal AND that proof of the acceleration runs, and all info were to be hosted on their site - I suggest you visit it. WRONG - they're site is down and has been since more or less a few weeks after that show. I don't believe the promised material was ever hosted. Pathetic...

 

heh, that car will never see 60 in 1.6 seconds or its claimed 270mph, car will probaly never see the light of day

 

Where's the Ford RS200?
IIRC the RS200 was in the guiness book of records as fastest production car 0-60 2.09 seconds. That was a few years ago though.

Now that I 'really' think about it...............0-60mph in 1.6 secs is downright BS! :
That POS with a Saturn 5 rocket deep up its ass could still not do 0-60mph in 1.6 secs!

 

I like your idea Moca, keep going man! Agree, remove modified and concepts. Concepts generally not proven and anything can be modified to do almost anything.

 

I think 50-130 is where it's at

 

The Diablo VTTT wasn't a factory car. They were modified by Platinum Motors (at least according to www.lamborghiniregistry.com). The pic under VTTT wasn't right either. Also - if you have the F50GT, why not other GT and F1 cars? AFAIK its not a streetlegal car. Unless thats not what you're intending to make a list of..



PS Nice idea with the list though. Ready to do top speed?

 

Those are impressive numbers for a car with the drag coefficient of my refrigerator.

That was one vanish thing built by the Williams Renault formula 1 team to take sir frank and his chair for some hot laps... Hardly a production car or even one that was considered

 

I agree the Ford RS2000 and other homologated Group B cars should be included on the list. After all they did achieve a production run.
