Beautiful cars, no doubt in that (Both the Bimmer and Alfa) - However, I purposely left them out of my comparison since they don't occupy the same class as the 365. It would be more apt to compare these to the Dino.

812 looks like Ferrari said to design team: "you have eight hours to draw a new concept and you must use the entire eight hours." It's too much, way too much IMO.

Mmmmmm...
There R a few Ferraris that doesn't match my taste smoothly, but I choose not to get into that now.
However, I believe that there is a Pre and Post "F12" era of some sort at the moment.
I mean look at Portofino, F8, Roma, 812, ...etc
I am not saying they are BAD looking Fs, but somehow the F DNA doesn't really show heavily anymore, in a way that Ferrari is trying to swim with the flow of change but didn't do a great job in keeping some taste of F heritage we R used to.
Note:I would love to see a coming collaboration with Pininfarina again, in which I believe will bring back the F look I miss so much at the moment,,,

Look at the wonders of AMG with MB.
Can't think of any Ferrari with "fingerprints" of Pininafarina on it that doesn't look stunning

 

I think having an outside firm (Pininfarina) design the cars is what made Ferraris so beautiful, more design freedom away from the flagpole.

 

For price to ugly ratio, the 365 California is off the chart.

Both pop-up and lexan headlights, a 308-style inverted cone with a chrome strip, the various taillights, and so on.

sf90 - worst looking model for awhile, just doesn't look like a ferrari imo

I thought the SF90 was ugly too until I saw it in person the other day in Honolulu. For whatever reason, it just doesn’t seem to photograph well. In person it’s striking. Yes, there were several coach builders that made beautiful bodies for Ferrari. Touring, Scaglietti, Zagato and Pininfarina were my favorites. Bertone, Ghia and some others not so much.

I saw the front and for a second thought ‘hmm that new nsx doesn’t look that bad’

 

Found them for you: Color, wheels, all the doodads sprinkled all over the car.

 

As far as modern styling, I like it. But as far as everything being made today, I think everything other than the Roma is too fussy.

 

100% agree with anunakki on styling and fussy... in person the SF90 is a sight, but the ROMA is so classic and clean. imho
