I'm more interested about why he posts rather than what he posts. There is so much deep-seated anger that it almost seems like a family member or a close friend had some kind of racing incident that was brushed over by a racing organization. I hope this is not the case and I wish him the best if it is.

 

There does seem to be an inner anger but it could just be ignorance and a narrow minded approach?

 

That's giving him too much credit, IMO. I think he's just a troll who enjoys the attention garnered by making outrageous comments. By reacting to him in any way, we're just playing along with his pathetic little game.

 

How I see it (rightly or wrongly)

Ward made a dumb move. Maybe ego or maybe anger but dumb.

Stewart I am sure did not want to hit him but I think wanted to scare him or put him in his place. I don't believe it was a pure unavoidable accident but I don't think it's provable either.

Stewart's career should be over because sponsors will dry up. There will always be a cloud over what happened and that's bad for business.

 

Once again, it's a good job on I'm the iPad and not a real keyboard!

I can't be bothered to find it now, but that's actually something I postulated after his F1 post - I gave him the opening, and indeed offered my sympathies if that were the case, but nothing......

I think it's trolling, pure & simple.

He could be trolling, of course, but it just seems so odd to come out of the woodwork to rant on this very narrow topic (most trolls have broader ambitions).

 

Agreed. Very, very odd indeed.

Further, he joined over 4 years back and has less than 60 posts too..... Something is awry for sure. I think someone suggested he lives in a place with severely limited access.

That doesn't limit posting rights though, does it? I know many are "lurkers" rather than "posters", and that's fine. Not all of us have a lot to say!

But this guy seems to have climbed from the woodwork with such vitriol & hatred, not just toward Tony, but all motorsport all of a sudden it defies belief. I just don't get it.

TBH, a little Bloody Mary did exit the nostrils. But at least no keyboards suffered in the process.

it is certainly a tragedy for both the victims and the drivers involved (it usually is "just an accident"), but we don't weigh down with the emotional back story you are hanging on Tony Stewart...

I think asjoseph was correct in saying tony pulled it of! I would say that if there were to be any bad news for tony they would not be telegraphing their news and when they will release a statement.

I think the criminal threat would seem over. a civil case would be next to watch for...but I think this will settle out of any court and be done so very quietly.

two of my Penske friends told me that they don't discuss this in any of their circles and feel this was long since over. tony will be fine.

just as an additional note: both of my Penske friends this the only nascar story worth discussing other that brad and joey being in the chase is danica and the joke of an attempt that nascar is making trying to package her as a racer...that is a real crime
