Who knew chubby supercar chasers were so sensitive? The real chubby chasers, the homeboys, are proud of the fact that they like the chub, and people frowning on the practice and ridiculing it, does not bother them one bit.
I thought he had left! I guess some people will never learn....until they get kicked out by a moderator
There is no point.... all he ever does is complain in this Forum and tell everyone that they don't have taste and on and on....
Sure, but lets keep it in context shall we? I think people who think the FF is ugly should get over themselves. The looks of the car are inherent of its concept, which is different from what Ferrari has ever done before. There is so much more to it than how it looks and this author seems to understand that perfectly well.
+1 Some people seem to think Ferrari set out to do a coupe and it ended up looking like a shooting brake by mistake. Been there, done that with the 612 coupe - they obviously wanted to do something else. Something that would leave people less indifferent, as was the case with the Scag.
+1 I realize that the FF is designed to do something no other Ferrari has done. But a) I don't care about that (going 200 mph in the snow with 4 people plus groceries) and b) the styling still sucks. And that has nothing to do with me or my attitude. It is simply ugly. I say the same thing about the Panamera btw. A 4 seated "sportscar" is difficult to do if not just absurd as an idea. The Lagonda did it with style. No snow though.
respectfully disagree. The "beauty" or "ugliness" of style has everything to do with personal attitudes. It's ridiculously simple to disprove the assertion that the vehicle is somehow "universally" ugly, in a fashion that would somehow transcend personal opinion: I find the vehicle quite beautiful, as well as purposeful in execution. Therefore, it is not "simply ugly" in some way that has nothing to do with personal attitude.
I said attitude not taste. It has everything to do with my preferences/taste but nothing with my attitude.
i'm sorry, i see that i've confused you i wasn't referring to internet opinions of internet images of an internet vehicle ... i had the privilege of seeing this vehicle ... and, separately, it's drivetrain ... at the factory several months ago. I was referring to the actual vehicle, which is quite beautiful in person, to my eyes But alas, i won't make the common mistake of thinking that my opinion is universally shared by all, simply because it's mine ... it's a natural mistake, i forgive you
I suppose you meant the Rapide. The Lagonda was that weird boxy saloon of the 80s. If you don´t like the FF, I think it´s almost impossible that you liked that Lagonda. FWIW, I find more interesting the old Lagonda than the Rapide (it looks nice, but it´s only a stretched DB9/DBS/AMV8/DB7/standard-Aston Martin-design). I also find the FF more interesting than the Rapide: for me sometimes personality (or weirdness, as some might say) is more important than style.
