Sometimes it's refreshing to get an opinion from somebody who doesn't necessarily seem too caught up in the automotive world and can offer a new voice. I haven't seen too many articles that don't love this car

Funny that's the only thing you got out of that, and you go after Taz's (a very respected member of this board) mental capacity.

What, you want me to buy him drinks? He called me a name and tried to shoo me away, for crying out loud.

Actually I also remember the author's comparison of the FF's front to a Pokemon character.

    Which I also agree with.

Sorry to rain on the lovefest, but I find the FF ugly.

Did you somehow miss these parts?

"This is absolutely the coolest Ferrari of all time"
    "It's downright epic"
"Brakes? Forget it. Mortals' minds are too puny to comprehend their carbon-ceramic massiveness"
"On dry pavement the PTU stays in the background and the FF handles like the run-of-the-mill, license-murdering, grand-touring Godzilla it is"
    "Supercar on ice"
"Ferrari's code-writers make the Google guys look like bathroom attendants"
"Not a bad way to go, I must say"

I don't question that the car is a technical marvel, but the design is IMHO horrible. Not just for a Ferrari, but for any car.

The author has a strange point of view: He thinks the car is so cool because it looks like crap. In his view this is the ultimate car: The one that trumps with inner values. That's why he calls it "the coolest Ferrari of all time". A statement I would definitely disagree with.

I appreciate that you state it as your opinion, other members aren't able to distinguish their opinion from fact.
I personally think the FF is gorgeous. It's like Ferrari designed a car just for me.

Well, design is a matter of personal taste, so it is pointless to argue about it.

That said, my taste is impeccable...
    ;)

Good for you. I'm sure the car will sell like hotcakes. After all some people are buying the Panamera as well. And even I think the FF looks not as bad as that car.

    I was first. :p
Besides: There is no 15 cylinder Ferrari.

PS: My views of new Ferraris don't change over the years. I'm still ho-hum over the 550, the 360 and the 612. And I still think the 355, Enzo, 430 and 458 are stellar designs. That's why I'm sure the FF won't grow on me. Then again it doesn't have to.

Some guys like fat women; some guys like slim women; some guys like slim, pretty women; some guys like fat, homely women. Granted, the latter are in the minority, kinda like fans of the FF's aesthetics. D'oh! I know...that was low! LOL! ;-)

Sounds like it was written by someone who wants to test more Ferrari's in the future.

    And me :)

    Well said :D

I'm agree with you on your late model preferences except for the Enzo - which I just don't find at all attractive... and of course the FF - which I think is stunning :)

What I do find amazing is that Ferrari can make so many different styles over the years that appeal in different ways and on different levels to so many different people - keeps them on top :)

As you said, this is what keeps Ferrari on top. Not only do they offer massive performance and fresh designs, but they also build cars for different facets that offer that same love and passion you get in a supercar

Nikkis- No, I did not call you names. I correctly identified your species as a troll. You never did find anything constructive to do, did you? On any forum, that is pretty much the definition of a troll. Nothing positive to say, not enough knowledge to contribute anything worthwhile, mainly because of no desire to learn anything worthwhile enough to contribute, opinions not valued by anyone due to the same lack of knowledge and general lack of manners. Usually someone with a room temperature IQ who cannot take a hint. Seems to fit fairly well in your case. Cause? Open to opinions.

My first encounter with you, but apparently you have been making "friends" in several threads. At least, all those who know you seem to not quite adore you. I can understand why.

I think it is hideous too.

But this part caught me.... He said "...the shooting-brake conformation...."

I am not up on this car, so what does that mean?

A shooting-brake is a two door car that has a hatch style rear. Obviously "conformation" is the actual structure

Is this what you were looking for?

JR- You do not honestly mean to tell me you have not heard of an Aston Martin DB-5 Shooting Brake? Hard to believe. A car designed to carry guns and hunting accessories.

You trying to qualify as a troll, too?

Ah... but it wasn't European. Shooting Break is just European for Hatchback. ;)
