It's good to have this protection film on it if you have glass one. 2 layers preferable. I'm driving around with epoxy ones so I do not need it anymore! My glass lenses are tucked away safe in the closet. Also have US lenses in Epoxy

Left it at a speed ramp somewhere, now these are too strong words :) however I have some scrapes on it. Freshing it up at the moment. I'll post some pic later. Went to fast together with a F360 (who had more damage) over a hill and there was a nasty little bump behind it.

    ...here is my thinking:
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
For me, my Mondi is all about having fun and fulfilling a childhood dream. I really don't care what the person next to me at a light thinks my car is. Miata? Ferrari? Fiero? Chevy?
Who cares what they think. This car is all about me.
    Yes, I'm selfish.

I'm sure I have earned it.

If they appreciate it, as many, many have in the past 3 years I have owned it, good for them.

If they have an opinion about the car being a wannabe because of fender shields, well, when they get their Ferrari, they can do what ever they want to THEIR car. Leave the shields off and good for you.

As to originality; this car is not a Show car, it's a driver...and a great one. Far from perfect but good enough for me.
This is no garage queen. I drive at least 100 miles a week. Sometimes 300 miles a week. I'm not saving it for the "next guy".
When people ask me "how fast does it go" I say; "fast enough"!
When they comment that it must cost a bundle to maintain, my answer is "Yup, it's a Ferrari. It comes with the territory".
I am way under water with this car and I plan to do more work on it at the end of this season as well as next season. It is a passion and I love this crazy car. This car is an investment in me.
When I'm done working on the car (maybe never) it will look better than when it came out of the factory, it will run better than when it came out of the factory and it will have put more smiles on everyones face that has had a ride in it than anyone could ever imagined.

    Just my 2 cents.

You shouldn't put badges on your car unless you want them on your car. That's the way I see it.

I don't have a shield on mine but I live where people have never seen a Ferarri and see no harm in it since it would be an easier identification. I have magnetic "Wounded Warriors" on the back left rear pannel of the vehicle where I pried the horse off. I'm a Viet Vet and send them $100 per month.

Its your car. Do what you want with it. I sure as hell have so over the last 18 months.

For the entire run of the mondial, they did not come with the shield on the front fender. I’ve included a pic of mine to show you how they are supposed to look for originality. That being said, if you like putting stickers on your cars, go nuts. It’s your car so do what you want Image Unavailable, Please Login

Since you ask for a comment - No.

My ‘83 Mondial QV Cab also never had a silver Cavallino Rampante on the car front - so I don’t want one there either.

I prefer to have interested folks be a little mystified.

    Cheers, SG
