Guys, Eugenio and I have had contact with the Fattoria Poggio Alloro. It seems that our combined Dutch/Italian charm has worked. All 10 rooms are available for us in the week from June 24 until July 1. This means that we possibly will be able to fit all people that have replied in the other thread in this one location. That is great news! So, now it is time to commit. Currently I am thinking about the following people: 1. Andrea and Rachel 2. Simon and Sylke 3. Mark C. and Katy 4. Kevan and Linda 5. Marc and Zoe 6. Mike and Natasha 7. Eugenio and Maura 8. Patrick 9. Mark P. and Debra (or Holger) 10. Ton and Veerle I already know that Eugenio, Mark C. and myself are willing to commit to this date. All others are invited to do the same thing. Prices will be more or less the same as last year. I will send you all an email with details at a later time. I have to discuss with the Fattoria how we can commit. I would suggest that we will do this with our CC details. More information about this will follow soon. I will leave for Nairobi on thursday. It is still uncertain what means of communication I can use on that location. For that reason I would like to ask you to send a copy of your email to Eugenio. I am looking forward to hearing from you. And I am even more looking forward to seeing you all in Tuscany this summer. Ton
Ton Great news - got your email thanks. More than happy to send what ever is required to commit to those dates. Thanks to you and Eugenio for your efforts in securing the great Poggio !!
I have now received committments from the following people: Andrea and Rachel Patrick Mark C. and Katy Kevan and Linda Eugenio and Maura Ton and Veerle Who's next?

We'll be there!!! But we may need an EXTRA seat too... I've been thinking of buying a Porsche GT3 or 996 Turbo so that we can fit the little one in the back. Please don't shoot me down in flames, I know they are horrible cars..... aaaargh I've been living near Stuttgart for too long..... I am being assimilated.... resistance is futile....
Updated List 1. Andrea and Rachel 2. Patrick 3. Mark C. and Katy 4. Kevan and Linda 5. Eugenio and Maura 6. Ton and Veerle 7. Simon and Sylke 8. MarcH and Zoe
Still waiting for Mike and Mark P. Andrea, A Porsche is not such a bad idea. It is a GREAT car to drive, and it has all the goodies of being a 2+2. They are only so perfect that it actually makes them a bit boring.
Nearly there 1. Andrea and Rachel 2. Patrick 3. Mark C. and Katy 4. Kevan and Linda 5. Eugenio and Maura 6. Ton and Veerle 7. Simon and Sylke 8. MarcH and Zoe 9. MarkP and Debra
Maybe I'm throwing a spanner in the works here but what the hell. If I end up buying Marc's 328, count my wife and I in for the trip. I realise at this point it is a bit premature since I have yet to see the car so please just pencil us in for the moment. I am flying to London on Monday to see the car and will know whether it's one way or the other on Monday night. If the number of people continues to increase beyond 10 I know some really nice agriturismi just outside of Montalcino. One is a converted medieval Cappucini monastery and the other has some amazing views of Monte Amiata. The roads round there are stunning and it's Brunello country ;-)))). Anyway, if we buy i'll leave it up to Marc whether he wants to see me again or not ;-). -- 10. Tentative - Przemek and Wiesia
This is fantastic news, I am excited to see my car again, and at the moment it is still in the garage downstairs!!
Marc i read the deal is done and another 512TR will be tearing throug Europe on the way to Tuscany, we must get some video of you and Ton togehter in June Przemek, You are probably still on the way home but now you have no excuse for not coming to Tuscany
Bought . The deposit is down, the cheque is in the post. ;-) I'll be picking her up this weekend for the drive back to Poland after the wire transfers clear... ... and literally driving through St-Niklaas. Although I'm trying to do this on Friday so I still have Sunday to recover and drool all over the car when I get home. Still haven't quite got round to the fact that I just bought a stunning Ferrari.
Absolutely great! Congratulations on an exellent purchase! From England all the way to a new home in Poland... that will be quite a drive... enjoy!
I hope I will have fun. I'll write it up and post some pictures. This is a car which has travelled a lot. It was sold new in Athens then went to Germany, then UK and now Poland.
