    1995 US 456GT.

I bought 3 new throttle cable clips. Ferrari part # 14573987.

These fit on the tops of the cam belt covers holding the throttle cable as it routes around the front of the motor to the other side.

Problem is the cable does not want to go into the clip. The little finger pointing up from the middle prevents the cable from going down into the clip.

Is this one of those "ferrari things" where I have to file the finger down until it's just right or something like that?

I do not want to press too hard as they are made from the usual break-don't-bend Ferrari plastic.

Clip goes into the belt cover, the pin is then pushed down to “balloon” the bottom part of the clip to make it stay, then you can put the cable in. Sounds simple, but those pins put up a fight!

Thanks. I know there must be a trick to it.

That worked. Like you said it didn't want to go in. I had to hammer them.

Those pins are hard to hammer in. You were right, they put up a fight!
