Anyone ever owned a car in this color ? Any strong opinions on the way it looks in the flesh ? Contemplating this for my 488. When I look at pics some show up as more "candy apple" and some look more "burgundy". I have had Rosso Corsa and would like to try another shade of red without being hit by ridiculous upcharges. Thanks
I posted a few pictures of my Mugello California here. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/california/307812-my-california-has-arrived.html Page 1 has indoor shots and Page 3 has outdoor. Here's a link to a video my dealer made when I sold it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFaV3YJ9H64 Its a dark red that's not quite burgundy that tends to get washed out when photographed in the sun or with a flash (as you can tell from my pictures, I'm a picture-taker, not a skilled photographer). I wouldn't characterize it as candy apple - no metallic flakes. Less yellow/orange than Corsa, so it definitely looked different than the typical Corsa/Beige cars. I loved it, and always got compliments that it looked "elegant" and "different" than "typical Ferraris." I remember seeing the pics of the Mugello 458 and thinking it looked nice. Hopefully you can find the thread or the owner will post. If its helpful, I can try to dig up the hi-res photos my dealer sent or pics of my car parked next to a Corsa car. Good luck.
My 2011 is Rosso Mugello and it is without a doubt the most stunning color I have ever owned. Very vibrant. I get hundreds of comments and compliments. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will definitely choose this colour again when I upgrade to a 488. I get lots of compliments on it. I will say however that I loved it when I saw it but had a moment when I hesitated. Thankfully I bought the car and have not looked back. Hope the photos help. Everyone....Thanks for the help. I know it's hard to tell in pics but looks very different indoors vs outdoors. Love the richer indoor look better......is it more representative of the color or are the outdoor pics more realistic ? Don't want it to be too similar to the Rosso Corsa that I have. Looked at the sheet metal samples in the showroom and looks very burgundy. Rosso Maranello and Fiorano are spectacular but not for $25-30,000 upcharge.
Here are a few more and one where I parked next to a rosso corsa car. The colour is rich, like wine. I also like that it is non metallic. One thing I have noticed is that the colour blends in very well with the rear lights and as a result they are more subtle and don't contrast. As you know, all the colours are pretty good! Nice thing with Mugello is that it is a no cost option and the standard wheels go well with it. You are very welcome. All I can say is that I have been surprised by the many positive comments regarding the colour. It does make the car look more elegant and less racy, which is something I wanted and to answer your earlier question, the colour is more like the indoor shots. Best of luck deciding and let me know if you want me to post any more pics.
I think it's a wonderful color. More of a blood red. I really love the color. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great input and pics. Thank you very much. Blood red I like ... Would not want burgundy. Guess Cuoio is the only logical interior color to go with it ?
In different light like low light it can look different. I get a ton of complements. Esp from women on the color. I wouldn't say burgundy. But, can look dark in low light ect. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Now that's a great color specimen in that indoor shot.....weird how it looks so different in the sunlight
That was at my parents house balcony. Thanks. Pic on the lawn with my 458. Image Unavailable, Please Login
