I saw this beautiful 250TR revival, work done by GTO engineering of which they work with my dealer Ogara. I briefly spoke with my manager asking about price, of which he said was asking around $1 mil. It’s a stunning piece of work.
Thoughts on the cars GTO engineering revives? Do they hold value?

Buy it! Stunning and you can hot rod it without paying an insurance premium on a $30 million car.

In the end they are replicas, with no history. Don't think they will hold value.

The GTO Engineering cars are extremely well made. They seem to hold their value on second hand ones that have come up for sale. You shouldn’t loose any money unless the originals plummet into the floor which is unlikely. With originals worth in excess of $40million any replica of these cars is going to command a decent price tag.

I don’t think they will loose much value but doubt they will appreciate any either.

Interesting points on all ends. Does anyone know how many replica 250 TR’s were made?
    It’s such a beautiful car…

I assure you, when the real cars go up in value the best recreations made with ferrari part also follow in value. Cheaper than an F40 and prob more fun

there are some junk ones out there, and GTO seems to make the best ones, I almost bought a SWB from them and kind of regret it now

Good to know… sounds like you researched GTO engineering’s work. Curious why you didn’t pull the trigger?

I am biased as they are building my swb as I type (Gto) but go for it! Not sure how much it will appreciate but I am keeping a colombo v12 on the road and it’s original from the donor gte so I don’t think it will drop much. Plan on giving to my kiddo so not really worried about it. Plenty will give u grief but u will drive yours which is a lot better than the garage queen originals.

Totally get this, I see almost no point in having a car in a garage never to be used. Driving them is for me 90% of the pleasure of owing one.

was afraid at the time to spend that much money on one, this was pre covid, real cars were a lot cheaper, now I regret it. Now I'm priced out
