    Has anyone given any thought to turbo- or supercharging our V12s?

    I'm thinking something not too outlandish because the engine is powerful already. Maybe 0.5 bar of boost. Maybe gain another 80 HP?

    Perhaps a wealthy owner has given a blank cheque / green light to a tuner to see what can be done?

    More heat management will be in order even at about 7 psi to prevent the thing from going volcanic. And the difference would likely come in mainly at the higher speeds.

    The highly respected tuning outfit MTM makes a twin turbo kit for the 5.2 liter V10 R8. They get 777hp and a top speed of 224mph:

    Imagine what they'd get out of the GTO or F12 . . .

    BTW: That finish isn't a "decal". It took 700 hours of polishing to achieve that finish. It was done as a tribute to the Avus.
