How on earth did you screw them in without removing the cats? They won't turn without heating the heat shield.

And what makes you think that's not the correct angle?

I thought that I've read that the O2 sensor needs to point towards engine?

Those are the Weirdest looking extenders I ever seen!!!!!! There are a number of shorter, 45 degree angled ones. My concern is the stress to the bung with all that cantilevered weight and the high heat going through the CATs. I know as I had a bung break off just past the weld to the skin of the CAT . I was running two small extenders with the O2 sensor. Happened at Sebring on the Short Track.

Had similar O2 extenders and the left bung broke off of the catless pipe.

Had a lot of issues with aftermarket exhausts. They were on a CS but, fried my emergency brake cable (no blankets and on a CS so the cable is routed differently), kept getting CEL's (even with a tune that was supposed to fix this), cracked AP headers at the collector, and O2 bung that broke off the catless pipe. Because of all of these issues, I'm gunshy about going aftermarket.

I can't get my cel to stay off. I've got a 360 with Tubi exhaust and Agency power cats. I'm using the Big Daddy mini cats (no extenders). Is the correct "fix" to use a 45 or 90 degree extendor in conjunction with the mini cat?

I've got Fabspeed headers, Hyperflow cats, and Fabspeed 02 extenders...I get a CEL all the time P0422 or P0432). Sometimes 5 min into a drive, or even after several hours, and in between .... Maybe the newer 02 extenders with the mini cat will help?

The Big Daddy mini cats did not help!!! The true fix is to get the ECU tweaked to not read the O2 sensors.

    Good Luck!!!!

Getting ready to install headers on my 430. How many have CEL problems and also have blankets installed? Perhaps the header blankets keep the heat in and reduce to CEL issue? Just a thought...

Yes I understand. I just wanted to wait on the ecu tuning until after I get headers installed. Didn't want to spend that money again if it could be avoided. I'm assuming there's a difference in tuning when headers get added to the mix.?

I've got a pair of 45 degree extenders I'm going to try with the mini cats.. I'll let you know how it goes. I've read a post here from someone who did this with 90 degree extenders and found it to be the answer.

I have the long 90 deg spacers (like in the photo above) on my scud and no CEL so far. This is with capristo 200 cell cats, headers and blankets. I was getting a CEL prior to installing the spacers.

I've had all the same issues, fried EBrake cables (3 sets of EBrake cables) and constant CEL's on my 360 (Fabspeed headers with ceramic coating, Hyperflow Cats, and Ferrari Stradale exhaust and O2 extenders) . I finally got the problem resolved. The ceramic coating was useless, heat tubing on the cables was useless, the O2 extenders were useless, the fix was the Fabspeed header blankets, the CEL issue was resolved by using Fabspeed mini Cats. The temperature in the engine compartment is now much lower than without the header blankets.

    Happy days are here again!!

I almost went for the Fabspeed mini cats but saw 2 different styles on their website. Which did you use?

I had several CEL lights after installing Fabspeed headers and fabspeed minicats.
421 and 431 and one weird 1287 RH front lambda sensor: the sensor has reached the maximum value (possible sensor locking)

by the way Fabspeed told me they were looking to get a solution for me and they would call me when they find something and they must be doing a lot of research because nobody ever called me and that was more than a month ago.

What I did last time was to kill the battery switch OVERNIGHT (not just a quick Kill switch)and I haven't had a CEL in more than a month and maybe almost 1,000 miles ago, so give it a try.

Or, when we ECU tune these cars, we essentially turn the cat problem 'off'. No more CEL.

But readiness monitors will not be completed anymore. And you need them completed in some states to pass smog.

Got cels right away with AP headers. Installed short straight extenders from Amazon for $10 and no CEL for a year.
