    Don,

I've never been a part of the toy run before. Any clues on types of toys? For boys, girls, age specific? Thanks.

Toys are toys. I tend to buy for boys because that's what I have, x2. I can't imagine that any toy is better than any other, there's always a kid in need that can enjoy whatever you buy.

I am planning on filling up the rear boot with various Hot Wheels and the like. Target has a bunch of nice, low cost toys for all ages , you really cannot go wrong... as a kid, new toys are new toys.

I think they prefer them not to be wrapped, so they know what the toy is.

    Don,

I hate to bail at the last minute but it turns out that my car won't be out of the shop to get the front windshield replaced. I know it will be a great event and thanks for all that you have done.

Yet another change at noon today but it was the restaurant. I got the distinct impression from the restaurant manager after discussing this thing with her for three weeks that we would be a burden to her and her crew so with the help of Jano we have a better deal with a group that really wants us in their facility. Looks like wew have about 30+ cars now, should be a heck of a run. FOR ALL THOSE ATTENDING-DUE TO THE POLICE ESCORT WE HAVE TO LEAVE TMS AT 9:30 ON THE DOT. IF SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE LATE I WILL LEAVE ANY MAPS WE HAVE LEFT OVER AT THE CLUBHOUSE DOOR. THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE FIRE STATION ARE ON THE LAST PAGE. WE HAVE 35 MAPS PRINTED UP. Remember my # is 469.235.5639 if you need to ask a question please call. I will probably make one more post before Sat. otherwise see you all at TMS about 9AM Sat and we will leave sharp at 9:30.
AGAIN THE START LOCATION IS THE BLUE CLUBHOUSE IN FRONT OF THE WEST TERRACE TOWER AT TMS. THIS IS DIRECTLY NORTH OF THE EAST ENTRANCE TO TMS (LABONTE LANE) OFF OF 114.

After finalizing everything Wed. PM and printing maps, I discovered that the run went right by a Police Station embedded in a small strip center by a turn. So rather than potentially incurr the wrath of the local consabulary I went out yesterday AM and reconfigured some of the route. Mileage is a bit more, scenery is a bit less, time is about the same. The only thing is- I did not get to run the new road in the Ferrari but it is pretty good road. I don't think clearance is a problem anywhere if the drivers pay attention. Will print new maps this PM and see you all tomorrow. Looks like we have about 30 vehicles. It will be great weather and should be a fun run.[/QUOTE]

THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Great run Don and Carolyn, even though I scraped my nose a couple of times. I guess I should slow down, but it's hard when you're following Tim. :) BTW, Tim? It's called a NO passing zone! :D The police escort through Lewisville was very cool.

I have a ton of pictures, mostly from the cherry picker, that was a rare treat for Dads and kids alike. Will post when I have some more time.

I just got a couple of shots before the batteries died :(

Thanks to Don for organizing, the police escort was a great touch. I really enjoy this event every year, it's just about cars and fun and giving a bit back. Sorry I had to run so quickly, but I had things planned for 2.

It was kind of a bummer being behind a 330GT at speed and not being able to hear it due to my own engine :D
