Oh yeah... Uro told me not to say anyting, but your 997 got a vascectomy. He was bored, and had some good burbon in his garage, and decided to signifigantly reduce the output flow of the exahust of your car for safety reasons. Porsche is already making too many versions of the 997, and he felt it was his duty to prevent 997 procreation. (there might be a lot of spelling mistakes in this post, I'm on a plane, and have had a few burbons myself)
I'd take an FF as well. I think we are living in the golden age for wagons. BMW is now considering an M3 wagon. I'm happy about this.
The 535 wagon is awesome. I only wish they were importing the new ones. I would seriously consider a CTS-V wagon, but I really need all wheel drive. Still, the CTS-V might be worth a second look... Otherwise, the only real option for a new wagon is the A6 Avant-- and those aren't available with a manual (the CTS-V is).
Does the non V CTS wagon have AWD? I live in a snowy area, but if the V wagon were even remotely possible for me financially I would be all over it.
Well, she arrived today. Better than described. Into he shop Monday for the cosmetic mods (wheels, coil overs, etc). The JB4 tune is backordered for another 2 weeks, but it will go right back in as soon as it ships. The shop is telling me I might as well upgrade the intercooler and do some sort of improved airbox... Why not... Sure is a heck of a lot cheaper than work on the Ferrari! I'm thinking of personalized tags. Maybe WAGONE. ? Any other thoughts?
They are coming, I promise. I want them to add a little more drop to the rear before I feel it worthy to post some pictures. I must say, so far, this is my favorite DD by far. Great technology, comfort, insane power and looks (who'd of thought I'd get this many double takes In a wagon?) As a bonus, I took it to the dealer for a once over, and learned that I have the extended maintenance plan to 100k! The seller never mentioned that!
I promise. They are coming. I really want to get some final things buttoned up on it, and then get her cleaned up (I drove 500 miles YESTERDAY), and then I will post some.
Here is a photo of the wheels on the car, pre drop, pre painted calipers and hubs. These are from about 2 weeks ago, and all of these things have been done. Real pictures to follow. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Really? You think I would BS about buying a station wagon? I am crazy busy with work. This week, I will put over 1,000 miles on the "murder wagon". I promise, I will get the shots promised up soon.
