Of course photos can be faked. Especially in this day and age. However, if there was some payload that had become detached, wouldn't the witnesses had observed the payload, instead of an impression on the ground ? This is a drawing of what they saw after the craft had lifted off: Image Unavailable, Please Login Also, if you listen to the witnesses carefully, they say that the craft hovered above them about 12 feet in the air, and then zoomed off at a high rate of speed. They also said that the craft was being followed by several airplanes, but it was many times faster than the airplanes, and they couldn't keep up. This doesn't sound like something a balloon could do.
This to me looks like evidence that the government was trying to cover it up. And corresponds to what the witnesses were saying about officials telling them to keep quiet about it. If it was just a weather balloon, why would everyone need to keep quiet about it ? And why would the military be sent in as was reported ?
Another conspiracy ? Really ? I see a pattern in your posts Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Did you listen to the school teacher on the podcast ? He said that officials were threatening him that he would lose his job, and be prosecuted if he talked about what happened. A bit much for just a "weather balloon" sighting.
Cover up what exactly? Here is proof that a balloon was indeed launched the day before. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
http://project1947.com/kbcat/kbwestall.htm This ufologist noted 24 different stories/sources and over the years these "witnesses" seem to up the ante of the BS they saw.
And there endeth the lesson Well done Speedy ..... now you'll have to fill in for PP as the qualy is on too late for this old man
Launched to 27 KM. Where is there evidence that the balloon went over the school and crash landed in a field across from the school ? This balloon had been launched on several other days, why didn't the students see it those days as well ?
The majority of "sightings" are just one, or a few people. So it's easy to discredit these few witnesses as delusional, or imagining things, or making things up. With the Westall Incident you have several hundred witnesses, and hundreds more who witnessed the landing site. Plus you have photographic evidence, and physical evidence in the landing site. For this to be a hoax, you would need mass delusion. Someone to fabricate the landing site, and someone to fake the photograph. Why would the government want to cover it up ? 1. They are unable to provide an explanation for what happened. 2. They are concerned the public would think there is an invasion, and panic.
Curious where that picture came from as NONE of the contemporary reports included any photos... note no pic on the newspaper article from the time.
Good questions. I found that pic with a quick google search. IDK where it came from, but it's all over the internet. There is another pic that is better documented. This is the pic James Fox used in his documentary when the school teacher is talking. I suspect the teacher is Andrew Greenwood. @ 1:36 http://www.project1947.com/kbcat/kbpdbalwyn1.htm Image Unavailable, Please Login
Still doesn’t answer the query of what have these photos got to do with the issue when there were NO photos taken at the time? The teacher makes no mention of photographs does he? Just random pics from wherever to support a movie pitch. BTW, I’m not ‘anti UFO’; I can’t believe we’re the only people in the universe who’ve ventured outside ‘home’; but I’m still to see the real thing, although I remain hopeful.
The Kibel photo was taken in the same general area, a few days before the Westall incident. If you watch the Westall '66 documentary, one of the teachers says another teacher had taken several photos, but her camera was forcibly taken away by the military responders. This article contains the first photo: https://www.9news.com.au/national/westall-ufo-could-pilots-could-hold-answers-to-mysterious-objects-in-melbourne-sky/bcc6fb1f-6ea7-418d-abdf-24c92bf46b2e
The photo came from the article. I did read the article, but I didn't write the article. Why don't you drop Kate Kachor @ 9NEWS a line and ask her ?
