Oh, come on. I like hearing this young pup talk. It's entertaining! I haven't had so much fun here in a long time. It's kinda like watching this... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTeDAst3KA0[/ame] You know what's coming but you just can't stop it!
Infidel, or whoever you are, let us give you a little clue. You don't win just because you say you do. You don't make new friends by insulting them. You don't make a good point when you don't have a reasonable answer. You don't sound intelligent when you twist the facts or don't listen. You don't influence anyone to your point when you talk down to them. You just don't. Ok... carry on the trolling!
And what of... Mercedes-Benz? Can you show us more pretty pictures of the Mercedes plant outside the walls of the Forbidden City? Apparently not. Seems Mercedes-Benz is able to sell hundreds of thousands of cars without manufacturing them in China. You know, Genius, that's a lot of German cars being shipped into China! Are you sure your analysis is correct? I guess their math is a little different than yours, too! After all, Daimler AG only made $3 BILLION Euros last year! How can you explain that? As a matter of fact, Mercedes-Benz said it will not consider constructing a full-assembly plant in China until it reaches.... drum roll, please... 300,000 annual unit sales. And that's kind of sensible, too, when you think about it... letting demand for their cars in China drive investment there. Hey! I'll bet that's what GM did, too! They let the demand for their vehicles drive their investment in China!! I think I am onto something!! Unfortunately, though, Ferrari has very little demand for its vehicles in China. Which was my original point!! Wow! Now I'm feeling like a Genius, too!!
You're forgetting the fact (as has been stated) that Ferrari is not a mass production vehicle. This is only one of the issues here
Just because you repeat yourself doesn't mean you're correct. Did you catch the Chinese media video I posted up there directly regarding Ferrari's explosion of sales in China? Can you come back at that with anything? And for the love of God, stop comparing Ferrari to Mercedes.
What is your point ? No one is arguing Ferrari will ever outsell MB in China . I believe you said this: "Ferrari can, for the time being, get by with that marketing pitch in Europe and North America, where the Ferrari brand and legacy is firmly entrenched in our popular cultures. However, in China, 50% of the population is under the age of 35 and have no idea what (or who) is a Ferrari. How is Ferrari going to compete in that market? How is Ferrari going to convince the new Asian millionaire that he should buy a 599 instead of an LFA? The "Ferrari heritage" isn't the answer because, unfortunately, it is unknown and unimportant." The burden of proof to back up your statement is on you...and you have provided zero to back up this statement. All you have done is shown MB outsells Ferrari and always will...well my 12 year nephew knows that and no one here is saying otherwise. Those of us who do spend time in China know that the wealthy there know Ferrari and desire the brand. Ferrari only competing with Benz on a select few models and unless you can show sales figures for MB cars sold in China at Ferrari price range you are talking out of your blow hole. Trying to bring up MB sales figures is childish as MB makes most of its sales in China off the low priced models...of which Ferrari chooses not to play.
You're fighting a loosing battle, Infidel. You need to understand that this is not a place to incessantly profess false statements. As said above, the burden of proof is on you. You've got more than enough credibility in the last responses to your asinine, arrogant rants that you should pack up and leave the topic alone.
Boo-hoo. The repartee is only fun for you and your Domestic Partner when you are on the delivering end, I see? Pathetic, really. I had hoped I could keep you standing for another round or two. My God, man, these are but half-hearted jabs. Your nose will heal. Now, wipe your eyes and stop sniveling. Then, reach down between your legs. Well, first remove your Partner's hand. Okay... you feel those? Those are your BALLS. I suggest you keep track of them if you're going to tangle with... The Saver! (Samoooolians!!!)
Uh-oh! An explosion!?!? Sounds frightening, yet exciting, all at the same time!! A whole 1,000 cars~~~ My, God, man! Where do they put them all!?!?
Aww. Come on, now. Now you're pleading for the yellow flag? Everybody is just having fun here, and, if you're honest about it, I didn't start the snarkiness. If I broke some stuff and crushed a few egos along the way, it was not intended to be genuinely mean-spirited. Really, it wasn't. Trust me. There won't be any doubt. However, I tend to bring guns to knife fights and won't hesitate putting a bullet in an offender's head. So, here's my suggestion: You and your friends run along now and leave Mr. Infidel alone. If you feel the need to comment on one of my posts, I suggest you keep it Above the Belt. Otherwise, wear a cup.
It was a JOKE, Vizsla. Come on, man. You guys can't all be this thin skinned??? I can be insulted in post after post but these guys can't take a couple of elbows without asking for a zebra to step in?? Wow.
Why, thank you! You get it! It was a JOKE!! Repartee a : a quick and witty reply b : a succession or interchange of clever retorts; amusing and usually light sparring with words
