Shoot Steve it was already loose I just had Deon's jack in my trunk last weekend in the snow storm that prevented us from getting it out!! LOL!! Randy had to go clear to Bartlesville to Lowes yesterday to get the Metric bolts for the engine stand cause I couldn't find any around here yest....
The thing is Steve when you get three guys together that loves cars there is more BS going on then work.
Are you sure there was even one worker? Given the time it has taken ya'll, I think everyone was standing around and the motor finally just fell out!
Is that reason. Well I will just jack it up higher so you can get under it and hook everything back up if we ever get that far. Its going to be harder to get the motor to jump back in then it did to fall out.
Once again, sound like the weekly blue-haired bridge meet: My back hurts, I'm overweight, my rheumatism is acting up. I'm constipated.... Should be more like: "Here Randy, hold my beer.... Look, dang thing came out no problem. Those wires weren't important. I need another beer..." With all the stalling and excuses, I think there may some folks in danger of losing their man-cards! Best, SLM
To tell you the truth Steve this has been very fun so far. Its really the first time Robert has ever been around on a engine removel. And it really was easy to do. So we will take the engine apart this Sunday and the motor will go to the machine shop Monday.
Question, I was just thinking today, about the headers, since we have two sets of header gaskets why not put them on the motor and see if we can get it in that way. If not we can take them off and put them on after the motor is in. What do you think?
Bad idea since the heads wont be on until the motor is in the car. It easrier to get to the bell housing bolts with the heads off.
Sitting in the corner enjoying the banter. It is what I do best. It does sound like ya'll are having a good time.
Yes we are. But its keeping me busy because Im helping my son with his car. Which we just put a motor in it and its setting right beside Roberts car. So hopefully the boys car will be done in a couple of weekends and then Roberts in a couple more. Then I will have an empty garge.
For I can not tell a lie, it was me with my evolved computer skills that dropped the engine out through a remote link.
