If this was my car and even on vacation I would want answers and I'm sure he does have the answers and I bet that this car isn't at the original shop, would you bring it back there if you found out that they didn't do the engine out correctly? Hey we just want to know where not to bring our vehicle to.....plain and simple and I think I even know the shop that did the screw up as there aren't many places in the Toronto area or GTA that even know how to work on them but I can tell you a few that I wouldn't bring my lawnmower to. I'm sure he knows what caused the belt breakage and it's for sure the missing shoe guide and some arrangements have been made not to make public whom the shop was.
Well said. Early in the thread the OP said a few times that he was too busy to pursue the matter, so it's entirely possible that he was already devoting more vacation time than he wanted to other matters and wasn't going to spend his valuable downtime to update this post. Or perhaps he's waitng to see how the repairs go before getting into details. There are any number of reasonable explanations, and since he had said he was going to be on holiday it's only fair to give him a week or two before hauling out the tar and feathers.
I meant a couple of weeks after his vacation, which was to have lasted until the end of August. Perhaps he has other things to do upon his return besides updating this thread. If he doesn't follow up in due time have at it. I just don't see what there is to get all worked up about.
We already know what happened but we need to know who did the work. You know that you get what you pay for and you need to do your due diligence when having a car repaired and maintained by someone knowledgeable and not going to the lowest bidder or lower charge per hour. With that said that only leaves a few of shops in mind, in the GTA, that have a low hourly rate. Would be nice if the owner comes out and tells the public.....again Italy has internet and I'm sure owner knows exactly what happened and could reply and end this thread....LOL
Its all very easy for you to guess, assume and make deductions but the owner will do whatever he wants when he wants to do it. Having internet or not in Italy wouldn't make any difference if he is not going to do anything until he comes back from vacation. Some of you are like children waiting for the ice-cream truck to come around the corner. It aint coming any faster by yelling. If or not he makes a deal with whomever worked or is working on the car is his business and not ours. And yes there are places that work on Ferraris in the GTA that I would not take a lawnmower to.
Just got back from Italy on Saturday . Getting the car towed on tues . Yes there is internet Italy . I have read all the post . Keep you posted
Awwww, c'mon. Here we are all ready to lynch somebody and there's nobody to lynch. Whattarewegonnadonowwwwww?
Head on over to the general discussion forum. There's a full-on lynch mob ongoing there as we speak. Don't need no stinkin' facts, let's get 'em. Hang 'em high, baby!
Good to hear you're back and I too hope you had a wonderful vacation with the family. Looking forward to hearing some news about what happened here when you post it up.
