http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=263708 Definitely not for the shy no doubt. I'm not sure wether I like it or not to be honest. Although, several years back Audi did a few cars (show cars mostly, but I remeber an S8 too) in polished aluminum as well as a Caterham 21 in polished aluminum too. Notice the yellow F40 rear clip in the 1st pic ...oh, and a few more F-cars farther down the page too.
I think it's badass. I hope its expensive enough though that a ton of people wont copy him. Then it just won't be the same. P.S. I think this could be the one car that the friggin reflective window tint works on. Then again, no, it would ruin it. Limo tint is clearly the way to go.
he is by far not the first guy to do this. There is a guy that has an entire fleet of Mercedes done like this, and without the tacky body kit. And I am gonna call BS on this guy, he says he hasnt paid the bill yet but I am sure a paint shop using 1k a gallon paint and 400 hours (at probably 100 bucks an hour) is gonna bill before giving the car back. I mean, who is gonna pay 40k+ for a paint job. Well, I know some people will but damn.
that car is pretty cool...someone has way too much time and money on their hands though. I wouldn't drive that thing on the street...it could blind people.
Now an enzo is gonna cause some people to get blinded. With all the angles on that thing, its asking for trouble.
I just remembered about the new Jaguar Xj8. Since it's alloy (alluminum?) bodied, it has the same effect until it is painted a solid color.
Im not even concerned about other ppl, i think at certain times of day, the glare off the hood might blind the driver!
Mercedes did an entire calendar of their full model line last year: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I thought that was some guy doing a photoshop job on some Benzes he liked? I bet with more practice/time spent, I could achieve a similar effect. Heres a Diablo 6.0GT I made with a 5 minute paint job.
I think the chrome paint looks GNARLY! It is just so radical looking. I wonder who makes it? I like the idea of a diablo being painted like that. That would just be OFF THE HOOK!!!
Man, I thought a nice black paint job took a lot of prep!!! Whether you like it or not you have to admire the paint work. If I'm not mistaken weren't there a few race cars(Shelby,Porsche,Mercedes) that were so close on development they weren't even painted and raced "Naked".
yeah, some of the Lotus Sevens and Elevens had bare aluminum, as well as the original Mercedes "silver arrow" grand prix cars. I have heard that the silver arrows were actually originally painted with several very heavy coats, but the paint was scrapped off of the cars the night before a grand prix in order to maximize weight savings.
The paint is from www.alsacorp.com I had to paint the wheels on my 6.0 with this paint to get a polished effect as they are magnesium. Joe
