Aargh, a pity I read this too late. I drove this car recently, it looks absolutely immaculate. No stone chips or anything to be worried about.

Luckily for your friend I took a picture of the front.

Modena in Geneva is a great dealer, can highly recommend them. I bought my Lusso there.

Hi guys, over the winter I had some time to come up with things I’d like to “fix” on my 458.
Do you have any recommendations for (a) garage(s) that you’d trust with these?

    - repaint brake calipers, incl. OEM Ferrari Stickers
    - powder-coating of exhaust tips
    - ceramic-coating
    - interior and leather-care

So basically a nice little “frühjahrsputz” ;-)

    Zurich area would be great.

    Thanks a lot,
    Chris

Strongly recommend Niki Nasler AG in Basel.
    They simply are the best.
Call Niki on his cell 079 330 33 73 and refer to me. Give him my best regards.
They will pick up your car with enclosed trailer and bring back.
No proper shop in greater Zurich area and I know them all.
Basel is less than 1 hr away.

Niki Hasler is my local dealer and has always provided me with a great service experience. They do quite a lot of vintage car restoration work there, and can certainly handle things beyond standard factory service work.

Thank you very much for your appreciated suggestion. Since I bought the car in Basel and Niki Hasler already serviced it, I guess this makes a lot of sense. Thanks a lot!

Guys, what's your opinion on upgrading from 430 Scud to 458 Speciale? I observed that the prices for Speciales in CH have become more "affordable", with some nice specs too.

Upgrade! You’re bound to have problems with the scud gearbox.

the last generation of single clutches on the scud does not seem to be as bad as older ones.

I am actually quite fond of the superfast2 gearbox. SCUD and 599GTO really nailed it back then. The dual clutch units are for sure mechanically more efficient but then again efficiency is rarely part of the fun equation

You’re right until you spend 50k to fix it. Still it’s just money, they print more of it everyday...

Andy, every generation gets more everyday usable... Careful what you wish for...

Guys, any views on Leirer for servicing a F512M? They seem quite old school, doing some proper restorations, which is good.

Hi everyone - I am based in Zurich and would like to replace or restore the convertible top on my F360 Spyder without spending a ridiculous fortune - does anyone have any advice? I typically have the car serviced at Foitek and I may just take it to them to get their advice and potentially the work done but wondering if my fellow Swiss based F-car brothers and sisters might have some good advice ?? Thanks !

    Foitek is no more. History.
The new company name is B.I. Collection AG.
The abbreviation B.I. stands for Beat Imwinkelried, a Swiss banker/finance manager who owns the company.
