    Hi guys,

I'm rather new to this Forum. Has anyone ever dealt with Kueng Classic Garage (http://www.kueng-classics.ch) ? And can anyone recommend a good Ferrari mechanic in the Zurich area ? (apart from Reidholz Garage).

    Thanks!
    C.

Hi David and welcome, although I see you have been registered for a long time.

The main euro section could certainly do with some more topics. :)

    Hi guys,

Nice to see a Swiss thread! I bought my 308 in Switzerland three years ago and have planned to visit your beautiful country in May with the 308 on our way to Monaco and Mille Miglia.

We'll be visiting a few dealerships and so on around the Zurich lake area. Any suggestions? If anyone wants to meet let me know via PM or on here. We'll be in Switzerland for two days and will have dinner with one or two Swiss friends.

    Best, Peter

    hi guys,

not sure how active this thread is, anyway.....
I'm at the final stage of purchasing an '89 328 gts and was wondering what kind of insurance is best for this kind of car...what kind of costs are we talking about ? I'm waiting for a quote but I've never dealt with this kind of cars before....

    thanks!

Ticino then? See with Matteo Stucchi from Swisscarsightings.com - he lives there and owns a chunk of classic cars.

I think you'll find insurance pretty straight forward in CH. I insure my 328 with a major insurance company here and it costs about the same as my daily driver, full comprehensive. Shop around and don't be afraid to send a quote from one company to a competitor to get the best deal. I also have an agreed value on the 328 should the worst happen.

Also, if you own more than one car and you don't need them on the road at the same time (no wife or girlfriend driving the second car, for example) then you can insure 2 cars on the same plate. You effectively pay insurance and tax on the most expensive of the 2 cars plus a few admin charges.

It is, it is, just drop me a PM when/if you want to go! Regarding the sub-section. We do have many members, but they are all lost in different parts of the forum, but indeed, there are a lot of people from CH here.

what i said to rob was that there are many members that are either swiss or live in switzerland, but that without one location to go to to communicate with each other, that we just participate all over. the usefulness of the sub section will be that we can then use it to talk with each other about upcoming events, get togethers, dealers, garages, available cars etc etc, and i think it will attract more use and more users.

Agreed. CH-based people tend to participate a lot in different Fchat sections.
