No one should be shamed for having had faith. Having said that its on their heads if they're fooled again.
I'm not gloating and serving plates of crow, but I do hope that all those who believed in PeeWee have now seen for themselves what to make of his grand announcements. I'm not happy we don't have USF1. It would have been great to see a US based team on the grid. That said I'm ecstatic that Pinzor Wiener is gone from Speed TV. That by itself was worth the whole drama.
I just don't have the heart personally to serve crow to all the believers... A lot of us were just realists that didn't see the experience and infrastructure necessary to make this a reality. Like a weather man predicting a hurricane, he doesn't report it out of glee, but out of a personal responsibility to give a clear picture of what's going to happen going from historical experience. We saw a coming disaster, but prayed for a miracle... Frank
Hey PeeWee & Kenny Boy, view it and weep: . . . . . [OK, I know they were a disaster, but at least they made it.......] Image Unavailable, Please Login
At least they made it is right!! No BS, hell a complete team change a couple of weeks ago, and they still got on the grid. It's going to be a long season for them to be certain. But it's a great opportunity for Chandok and Senna to compete against talent they would otherwise would have been testing for.
+1 Can you imagine the laptimes of a car with steel suspension? How long would the self developed gear box have lasted? How fast would have been J-Lo? The 11 seconds record would have been shattered by a mile.
He may have a slight problem with attracting staff to the team. Seriously, would ANYONE in their right mind risk everything by pulling up stakes, and move to North Carolina to work for USF1? (especially after what they did to their current staff-and the hit to their resume-guilt by association and all that...) Can somebody just shoot this thing and put it out of its misery? Frank
