It's just a habit. Thanks for your input. Turned out nicely. Here's one from today. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Skipp, You have done great things to a great car. Considering you first postings and what you were wanting to find, I think this a win win for you and a great Dino! Shawn
Thanks Shawn. I agree. Yesterday I was reflecting and realized that I found exactly what I was looking for. Very pleased and lucky. Skipp
After a two month breather, I've been back in the garage continuing to improve this Dino. The charging system went out, so I've been replacing the alternator, firewall fuse box, belt, spark plug wires, and some coolant hoses. In addition, I'm fixing the oil leaks and installing the Drip Guard from Dino Parts to prevent the situation from reoccurring. Basically any issues accessible through the passenger side rear wheelwell. I think it's obvious from the pictures what the problem was ! Hi Skippr, looking at the image of your rear registration plate light, is there an indentation on the boot lid to take the light fitting, or is it just dirt/rubber accumulation that I'm seeing? Chris
Chris, Are you asking about this area ? No indentation. I think you're seeing the rubber gasket and a reflection off the chrome surround. Skipp Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hi Skipper I love threads like this, and now i have just discovered yours. Now time to go back to the beginning and read it from end to end. Well done on what I have seen so far. I am jealous! Regards Dave
Thanks Dave. It represents about 200 hrs of work that I performed during the winter. Enjoy the read. Skipp
I'm trying my best to leave any originality in place. I love patina and want the feel of "old car" It turns out that the alternator from Superformance will not fit a US version car that has the US version huge bracket enclasement. I'm having to have the original Mari Magnelli alternator rebuilt tomorrow. Sure wish Superformance had indicated this prior to spending the money for there's. They have no indication of this on their site. Oh well, more originally will be preserved.
You had better check if that belt sheave is safely secured with a woodruff key if you for any reasons decide to install the SF alternator in that hard to access location. Last thing you want is to having to access this component again in the nearby future. I have had bad experiences with SF on this matter. Best Peter
Here's the issue of the Superformance alternator not fitting the US bracket. It's my opinion, that this should be noted somewhere in the purchasing process since it's not feasible to make returns to England. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
